That's what I like the most about these deep reds (my Camaro has garnet red metallic paint, a very-very similar color), they look much more royal than flashy, yet stand out from the sea of whites, blacks and grays.

My ZLE is hibernating for the winter, but I will be sure to post up pics after the install.

(Side note, hella expensive)

Went out today and grabbed some photos of it in all its glory. I truly love the way the red pops in the sunlight. It's a gorgeous car.

Congrats!

The PPF and ceramic is definitely worth it.
I did the same.

Always loved the dark reds. I had one for 27 years and enjoyed it very much. I wanted blue this time around, otherwise I probably would have gone with dark red again.

Here is a much cheaper alternative to the Scrape Armor protector George recommended above, I'm using this and it does a great job: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086KZGZBD. I personally wouldn't be comfortable using a splitter protector that costs more than an entire new front bumper.

Would you know if this is helpful on a ZLE because the car has some sort of plastic diffusers on the bottom of the front end. So I figure the diffuser would take a beating and the front splitter wouldn't scrape?

MisterMaruader I love the car and can't wait to get mine soon. The photographic work is stellar IMO. Did you take these yourself? I'd like to hear more about your photo setup

Yep, snapped them myself. For these shots, I used a Canon 90D with a 10-18mm lens and edited in Lightroom.

Love that color would have gone with that instead of hot rod red but it was on constraint when I ordered mine, got PPF installed on day one by far the best thing you can do!

I have an SS and thus can't check, but from what I know, those short air dams on the ZL1 only help on either side, the center section is still vulnerable, see picture below. It is likely to be the first thing to scrape at the bottom of a steep incline and sometimes even during a turn onto a badly angled driveway.

By the way, the SS has even taller (and awfully ugly) tire deflectors instead of these air dams, and they do scrape a lot more easily; fortunately, they are $20-25 apiece, so no biggie. I removed them eyesores long ago anyway.

So all in with paint correction and ceramic coating over $5k?

This stuff isn't cheap....fine if you're keeping the car at least 3-5 years
