I look forward to getting the car, and yeah the pollen gets insane! The car is getting PPF up front and also full ceramic coating.

Get a rinsless wash…. Wash it and put on temp ppf. Don’t want any chips or road rash if your gonna PPF.

When my '23 2SS 1LE was delivered, I told them not to install the factory accessories that came with the car (black lug nuts and wicker-bill).

Unfortunately, they ALSO skipped the installation of the spoiler winglets and the rear control arm covers. Double check that these were done during the PDI, especially the winglets since they require a special adhesive.

I had mine shipped the 250 miles from the dealer to me, to avoid any damage before I got the PPF done.

You might consider asking them to just rinse off your car rather than no detail or no wash. After sitting on a lot in Lansing for 6 months, the car was surprisingly clean so my sales manager just had the maintenance guys hose the car off.

As a thread hijack, my wife told me a week later that one of the female sales people told her to come back when I was ready to trade up for a corvette.

I did not hear that comment.
It was a good thing I did not hear that comment.
It was a good thing my wife withheld that comment from me.

Have them at least bring the car up to running temp to build pressure in the rad lines..

They never did with mine long enough to heat up the system and it blew a rad line off on my way home from the pressure. (35km on the car)

Now it might be 1 and a million.. But I was that 1..

I only told them limited PDI, and specifically don't touch the paint. The should do all other PDI installs and so forth. But no wash, rinse, detail, tire dressing...nada.

My 2022 came out of CO and already had the plate bracket installed (AZ doesn't require). It definitely has four holes drilled through the bumper with rivets plus two screws into the lower grill. Why anybody thought that six fasteners were needed is beyond me.

My solution was the motto plate.

I have brought up the no detail/wash with the salesman I have been working with and also no stickers on the car. He was very understanding with that and i'm sure it's better for them not having to waste the time taking it somewhere. I'll let them install any optioned out pieces as I don't want to have to deal with any issues on the way home. I will hang out at the dealership for a bit warming up the car and making sure there are no issues before I head out. My drive is only 250 miles which I will avoid highways if it's busy. Thanks for all the tips.

Exactly what he said. I would get PPF on the panel just to the lower rear of the doors in front of the rear tire. This is where you will get chips. Put Track Tac over it before driving anywhere! Also. I put a piece of PPF on before I installed the Rear License plate. That way it doesn’t scratch behind it with dirt/dust buildup between washes. Be sure to change the rear diff fluid at 1500mi. Congratulations. Spend the money on the APC guards front and back. Don’t go cheap on those.

I have been looking at rock guards, I searched for APC and I couldn't find any with that name. I have found some that are ACS, are those the ones? I picked up track wrap and I will be putting them on the back portion in front of the rear wheels with it being the 1LE and the much wider tires. Thanks.

www.bumperplugs.com if you want to lose the plate.

I've bought these twice for cars that I bought that had front mounts. I'm in MI and no front plates here. They are great quality and color match is perfect.

Yes, ACS rock guards is what I was referring to. I also have ACS side skirts on my 1LE, but I installed them after I got the car home. Track wrap sounds like a good idea as well.

Didn't know they had these but great to know In case the dealership accidentally installs the bracket even though you ask them not to.
