Hit a truck tire tread on an offramp and busted up some plastic bits under my car :-/

+ the driver wheel well splash shield/wheel well liner felt thing is torn up pretty good and the driver side exhaust heat shield is banged up.

Yeah be glad.. got home from work the other day ( I will now never take my car to work again, as it requires an interstate commute for about 15 minutes) nonetheless, when I got home it was clear some sort of debris had impacted my bumper hard enough to crack a dime sized mark and proceed to leave a 3 inch tear through my front bumper. I never heard anything. I was able to use a little bit of putty and paint correct, but to return to factory would be a needless amount of paint and body work and money, all for something the size of a dime/quarter. Anything can happen.. even with ppf… lol

Ouch.. Yeah.. always something I swear. I was about to drive my old Ford Explorer but decided to drive my car instead this time and BAM... lesson learned, lol!

Worst part was I had to drill out the rivets to get my front ACS rock guard removed so I could remove the wheel well felt liner.

I'm sorry you had this freak misfortune, at least the damage isn't very substantial.

(BTW that's why I try not to use riveted-on parts for my car.)

Thank you! Yeah.. Not to bad... and I have a carbon fiber 1le splitter on hand and was planning on swapping the splitter to that one already so this is a little motivation to get cracking on that! haha.

I asked ACS if they sell just the driver side rock guard and they offered to.. for $150 which is a little steep for 1 rock guard, IMO, so asked them if I could just buy the rivets so I can make sure I have the identical ones to my 3 other rock guards, lol. Also used is some kind of 3m foam tape stuff so I will need to find that as well for when it's time to re-install. I thought the rock guard may be damaged but it turns out it's ok even after drilling out the 3 rivets, lol.

The expression sh*t happens seems to be more and more appropriate the more money I spend on things, and the more careful I feel like I’m being. *shrugs* oh well.. lol the older I get, the more that happens, I realize it’s just money and I will always have to get over it to move on

I will say. I do like them and they look good but are they worth the $800 compared to EoS for $200 or other ones less expensive. I doubt it. These should cost $400 max for what they are. Done and over with now.
