Rates are different in the region that you live in, sometimes even manufactures only run certain deals or finance specials in regions vs nationwide.

Yeah, I was gonna say that it varies by state / region. Even then, 1 point difference wouldn't have made much of a difference for me. Now 8 months ago when interest rates were still in the 2's, that would be a different story.

Makes sense! I thought that might be the case. I really hate you missed out and the fashion in which it happened. You should've had your car a LONG time ago.

Yeah, not gonna lie, my heart was broken for a few days. It's all good though, I'm not giving up yet. There's still hope for the future, especially if there's a '24 model.

I'd still suggest checking out a credit union. You seem to be in texas, perhaps https://www.cutx.org/auto-loans will work for you. Looks like they start at 3%

I've only financed through a dealer once in my life, because it was a promotional rate.

Just wondering what people are paying in interest rates
My credit union told me 7% with good credit wanted to see what other people
are getting.

For what it's worth... My CU and GM were offering the same 2.5% when I purchased last Christmas, so I ended up going with GM... Smooth progress, cool app to track the account

2023 2SS

I went through GM Financial back in November when my car arrived. Credit score of 847 and the best rate I could get 72 months was 5.79%. When I first ordered the car back May 22 they were 2.99%. Crazy!! I locked in on 5.79 when I saw my car was shipped. Most banks will let you lock in 30-45 days. A week after I picked the car up rates were over 6%.
The 60 month rates are better but I didnt want a payment over $1000 a month so I had to go with the 72 month. Im paying $919 a month for my 2ss. I love it but damn! its more than my mortgage. Was lucky to have a few warm days here in NY when I got it and put about 500 miles on it. Now its stored away for winter.
