Pirelli P-Zero 18” slicks
Just got these used slicks mounted up on new Apex SM-10 wheels 18x11 and 18x12 for the ZLE. 305/660/18 front and 325/680/18 rear. Way cheaper than GY3R’s. Looking forward to seeing how they do once I get some heat in them.

They look great! I've been eyeing those tires from a distance, not quite ready for slicks though. I have the same wheels except square 18x11.

You will love them, within a lap, you can lean on them unlike the 3R's. They have more sidewall flex so you car will have more lean but try to get past that feeling, the tires will stick!

the sidewalls are more compliant as stated and grip is excellent similar to a 3R. Once you get used to the slightly "squishier" feeling in transitions, you will like them. A 3R definitely feels stiffer and I would say grip is pretty equal and it depends upon how many heat cycles the tires have as to the grip available. They do come up to temp quicker as stated also.

Dont let them get above 32PSI Hot pressure. Typically there will be a 6PSI difference between cold pressure readings and hot pressure readings. In SUPER HOT summer conditions I have seen as much as 10 PSI difference. These will be a little quicker than GYSC3R tires but will last considerably longer. They LIKE alot of NEGATIVE camber. I run -3.7 front and -3.0 rear. They will heat cycle out BEFORE you will see those wear indicators disappear so ALWAYS check them after a track day. I usually get 3-4 full track days out of a set.

Out of SCRUBS. I have never run NEW. I do run a SQUARE set up however which does help some.

No problem. Also I run 305 660 18 square. I tried 305 680 18s on the rear but my car is quicker with more neutral handling with the 660 height tire on all four corners

It's very hit or miss with the scrubs, I used to run them a bit. I had one set only last me 2 sessions, another a full day, and one slightly longer. The biggest downside with scrubs.

That's a lot of camber. I run neg 2.8 up front and feel it's perfect. Neg 2.0 in the rear but feel I need more. I have oem sized 18s. Not square I also start at 23 psi cold. |
