Rotofab CAI / AR Catted Headers--X-pipe--Int-Pipes / Borla ATAK / E85 Tune = 450rwhp

Got my car back from the exhaust install + E85 tune.

Went with
-- AR Catted Headers, X-Pipe & Intermediate Pipe
-- Borla ATAK Axle Back
-- Rotofab CAI
-- E85 Tune

Put down 450 RWHP & 519 TQ on E85 .. Not sure what the norm is for those mods but it seems like a pretty good jump to me. I was thinking it would be very loud and obnoxious at idle but its actually not much louder than stock. It does make better music when accellerating, but still nothing close to deafening. Very quick accelleration too.. ..very pleased with the results.

Nice! This is pretty much my next step, glad to see you’re happy and the numbers I can probably expect.

Nice torque numbers... I did the same 445rhp/455 tq on pump gas. Car still needs to be broken in (only ~500 miles on car) before I can start running E. Off to the next mod!

That's a pretty high torque number. Generally speaking the torque and horsepower remain right in line with each other while you're still in the bolt on range. Nonetheless, so long as you're happy with the way the car drives, then that's all that matters. Enjoy.

Where did you have it done? I'm shopping for some build work on mine, but the "best" places I've found were in Houston or Dallas. Did you have it done local?

Very cool combo you have there. Did you by chance dyno without E? Curious because up in the Northeast we don't have any stations still.

I went to Aikman Performance in Cedar Park TX, suburb just outside of Austin area. Personally I think Dallas and Houston area have better shops than Austin but Aikman Performance is pretty good.

Without E85 it made 424 HP and 488 TQ

The SS is already getting too much unwanted attention. Guess I should have been prepared for this but I have been challenged twice since I've done these mods...

Once by a Honda Accord (wtf?)
Second by a biker

I didn't bite for either one of them as I don't street race, but I am hoping a cop doesn't think otherwise.

Agree, the torque numbers are suspiciously high relative to the hp numbers. What do the actual curves on the dyno charts look like? Might be a problem with the rpm pickup on that dyno, we've certainly seen that happen before on the forum.

Curious to see the curves on that dyno compared to the one I have.

Looks similar to my DynoJet pull on pump gas. I have the stock NPP muffler/suitcase though. Borla ATAK is nice as I have that on my Jeep. Just could not justify the $$ for the gain for that mod.
(Torque curve is slightly different) Max power peaked ~5500 rpms, and torque peaked at ~ 4500 rpms on mine.
I would roll with it and enjoy
My next mods will kick me over 650 hopefully
