Is that a big gap on the upper joint at the back ends of both? I've been considering the ACS skirts but not if they look like that.

No, just shadow. There was a very tiny gap in that area no matter how they lined up. I mean unless you nose is right there looking at it you don’t see it. Maybe that’s the way it is supposed to be. But It’s no big deal. But being ocd I found a fix. At the very back where the bottom of the skirt is horizontal and rivets to the car, I put in two plastic pcs as shims. This spaces that horizontal mount tab down, and in turn forces the vertical side where the gap is, tightly against the car. Then rivet it or use a screw. Now nice and tight

The ACS ZL1 side rockers do not follow the body line for the full length. They dip down toward the back. This is probably what you're perceiving as a gap.

You can see it here:

You can see it even better in Lethal Camaro's install video on his Summit White SS at the 24:26 mark.

Installed the METCO Breather, I have read here when used with the Catch Can both work well to vent bypass oil from contamination to the valve steams and blower. Removing blower lid will void the warranty . So if anything it looks good, as long as it doesn't throw a code.

That's exactly what it is. The ACS side skirts fit the car very well. Not sure why ACS chose not to follow the body line in the rear part of the skirts. But otherwise the fit is spot on.

C7 Carbon makes ZL1 style side skirts for the SS that are a perfect fit, see below. Hollow bottom like all aftermarket side skirts, but otherwise very sturdy and good looking, with great workmanship.

Oil change this morning - noticed my front air dam was ripped - anyone replaced these yet? Is it costly, is it worth it?

No(t me), no, and no. They cost a mere $20-25 a piece, but look horrible and their sole function seems to be to improve gas mileage a tiny bit.

I have 2 sets, one is flawless, the other slightly scuffed, DM me if you still want one, you can have it, just pay me for shipping. Part numbers are 23408773 and 23408774, by the way.

No doubt both the C7 and ACS are good products. And I do like the way the C7 side skirts follow the body line in the rear. Still don't know why ACS didn't do the same with its skirts. Ultimately I went the ACS route because their skirts and rock guards can be used together and they are both available in satin black to match the other 1LE trim pieces.

How do you install the skirts then? Does Ikon make you remove the rocker panels first?

Got front runner tires and wheels put together

The VMS wheel uses the stock lug nut, the 18 inch wheel will clear all most 6th gen brake set ups. Tire and wheel weigh 32 lbs versus 62 lbs for the OE run flat tire and wheel. Just for the drag strip next season of course

C7 used to make the 1LE satin color
