Help me find/choose a V6 1LE replacement splitter! RPI, EOS, GM?
So it finally happened to me. I have a 2017 V61LE and after 4-ish years of being neurotic, I booped my front splitter on a curb I couldn't see and it shattered.
I am pretty sure the proper part number is 84116099. (At least when I ran my vin number that is what I got.) I have searched this forum/internet and so far am having a hard time finding a good replacement. Here is what I have found so far... Local GM dealer 870 + tax gmpartsnow 684.84 + 54.00 shipping 738.84 gmpartscorp.com 650.01 + 75.78 shipping 725.79 gmpartsdirect 634.05 + 258.87 shipping 892.92 hadwinwhitewholesaleparts.com 650.01 + 44.55 shipping 694.56 RPI designs SS type splitter 288.29 + 15.95 ground 304.24 While I feel like I am leaning towards getting the factory splitter, I just dont want to miss any other options. Does anyone have any recommendations? Anyone use the RPI splitter? Got pics? How does it fit? |

Use code HOLIDAY25 at gm accessories website for 25% discount and have it shipped to your local dealership for free.

"This part is unavailable for purchase online. Please contact (the name of the dealer I select to order it from) at (phone number) for availability." So I cant use the discount. I checked with a bunch of my dealers and they need to custom order it. My guess is that is why I cant just order it off the site with the discount. Last edited by sonikk71; 11-30-2022 at 02:05 AM. |

Nothing like the OEM's front splitter style just wish it's function had more durability to it.
I ran into that order message error also using HOLIDAY25 manufacture code. If still in market give GM Accessory a ring while placing order at 1-844-847-1118. They'll assist correcting the error for your order

Leaning towards doing the RPI splitter. Anyone got good pics of the RPI splitter? The pics on their website are not the best. I am really curious about fit and quality of finish out of the box.

I went with an IKON carbon unpainted splitter and put a review up here: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=579491
I never updated the review but I ran it bare until I traded in my car this past Oct and it never yellowed. It held up very well with a minor chip from a very gravelly laguna track day which also added more than a few chips to my front end and windshield. I also scraped it a couple times on steep narrow driveways and it shrugged it off. Looks like it may be discontinued, but I was pleased with the part especially for the price. |

Sorry this happened to you OP.
I try my best to make it a point to back in wherever I park when possible because it's really tough to gauge where the nose of the car is in relationship to the curb. |

Normally I am neurotic about backing in or don't park in a spot with a curb, but this time the curb was formed out of the wall, it was dark, and it stuck out really far. Add that to the fact the structural integrity was already compromised by a rock making a hole in the underside and it being really cold and you get a shattered splitter. It was a bummer. Stuff happens though. :P
