So it's NOT related to rubber cracking in cold weather.

I've never heard of or seen a tire SHRED itself until it's up to full pressure like these 3R's. Have to really take it easy the first few laps and gradually bring them up to temperature and pressure.

I have a second set of OE-sized wheels (BC Forged) on which I run just OE-sized high performance street tires for daily driving. 3Rs just for the track. I also switch the 3Rs left to right side between track days to even out the wear. The only other thing I could think of is that when this happened to me, I did not fully "Run in" the tires. I drove to the track (180 miles) and let rip! The other times I ran these on track they didn't have this happen but I had at least 500-600 miles on the tire. Supposedly, running in the tires (getting fully up to temp) and letting them cool down 24hrs extends the life of the tires.

I'm not sure what your scenario is, but if you threw these on and headed straight to the track that could be a common theme.

I doubt it's the alignment. This happened to me when my alignment was done the same week.
