Can't say I get much attention in it. There's a number of them around here. Hell, 2 of us ended up in the same parking lot at a Hobby Lobby one day. I pass at least 3 different ones at various times during my ride home or to work. A black one, Red, a tricked out white ZLE from time to time. A blue ZLE that I've run into 5 or 6 times. Another black ZLE I see more towards the city from time to time. A gray Z I've seen a few times.

This area is mostly teslas or higher end sedans and SUVs from audi, bmw, and mercedes. I'm actually starting to see a lot of Mustang Mach E's now too. I saw 3 on my morning drive today. Funny enough, I did not get any attention from anyone today. Guess it's just random out there

Not too often here, usually only from other people driving a similar car.

Must be California. I see Tesla's in groups, alot of high end suv's as well as many Mach e's also. There's the occasional porshe/lambo/Ferrari thrown in as well. See plenty of camaro's but very rarely are they zl1's, let alone zle's

Yes, the SF Bay Area. At least many of the priuses have been replaced by Teslas now, so the streets are a bit more interesting

In my part of the SF Bay Area (Fremont but also South Bay), all I get are crickets. And it’s not because Camaros are everywhere here (they’re not), especially not ZL1s.

Totally fine by me, I didn’t get it for the attention

Geoff

Nice. I'm out in Fremont every once in awhile with the RS3, since 034 Motorsport is out there

I know it looks like a plain jane boring sedan, which is one reason why I love it, but it would be nice to get some other cars to try. The roads were relatively empty thanks to the holiday, so I could have messed around a bit, but no one would even look in my direction.

I then took out the zl1. At every light, people were staring at it. I had 2 separate cars full of teenagers revving at me (in their boring cars, nothing fun to play with). Others were asking me questions about the car or the wrap. I felt like a celebrity My wife was with me and asked if it's always like this.

Finally, I took the Tesla out for the last couple errands. I was invisible again. The car does 0-60 in 3.1 seconds, but no one cares or wants to play The car really is a blast to drive, but I may as well be in a Prius as far as anyone else is concerned.

It just cracks me up that so many people love the Camaro and want to chat about it or just wave. Don't take it for granted that you're driving a very special car that may not exist for much longer.
It's funny how that works out. It's the same way with my TT RS and when I had my ZL1 1LE. My license plate frame also says "**** Around and Find Out" on the TT and aside from some well organized Mexico meets where some boosted Coyote's found out, no one ever tries me in that car. But in my ZL1 1LE, I constantly got attention and most of the time it wasn't attention I felt was positive.

My ZLE got tons of attention this weekend simply getting gas. One guy was basically drooling and did not know what it was but liked it. The other guy said he loved it...especially when I said it was a manual. He also said I should keep it because EV's are taking over...LOL

Even in a boring black color, I get staring and pointing, lol. It's a little surprising. I think the car has a lot of character that you just don't get in most nowadays.

Surely there's no bias in that comment... lol

The only car that got me negative attention was my Supra. Most people loved it, but I had some scary situations also. People tried to follow me home, domestics would not let me be without trying to race, no matter where we were (it was only BPU). I had people approach me in parking lots trying to buy the car, and not letting me leave easily. This was in 03/04, so kinda at the height of the fast and furious stuff.

I've never owned a high end exotic, but my friend does have a Ferrari 488 Spyder. The one time I drove it I felt like a celebrity. People taking pictures at every stoplight...The zl1 is not on that level, but for a Camaro, the attention it gets was unexpected for me. This is my 4th one but the other 3 were just a z/28 and 2 SS's

Aggressive stuff like that is a huge turn off in the car community, at least to me it is. And I can understand to some degree about the attention. When I had my C7 Z06, granted it certainly isn't an exotic but, I had gotten a lot more attention in that car than I had in any other car I had owned. It was either young people or really old men--basically nothing in between. But, getting pictures taken of it, being "spotted" and posted in FB groups, or just random people stopping me at gas stations.

My next car is absolutely going to be a Porsche. I imagine for most people, it'll fly under the radar because "all Porsche's look the same."

Love them. My realistic dream car is a 911 Turbo S...but they're like $230,000 now so even if I could afford it, I probably wouldn't do it

A while back I owned a 991 Turbo...Fabspeed exhaust and Fabspeed tune...pushing over 600hp. Thing was "STUPID" quick.

But did not get much attention...except from people who knew exactly what it was.
