I have the Stainless Works 2” headers into GESI UHO 1,000hp CATs to Corsa X-pipe to Bola ATAK NPP Mufflers. Couldn't be happier with the setup.

Haha, you know that ain't gonna happen. You know what I'm saying but good try. Those headers will get him to a 1000 rwhp for sure. Right?. Maybe you misread my post when I said you can spend a grand not make a 1000 hp.

The Hellcat comes with a VERY good set of manifolds and connections pipes, very little to be gained there from headers as I've seen people making over 1000whp on stock manifolds, however its not uncommon to gain 25rwhp with headers on the LT4 platform. For me its really about, getting the exhaust out efficiently and when increasing the boost, that burnt fuel and pressure has to go somewhere.
Well lets see now, my red 16 SS ran 10.00@139 on bone stock exhaust, my 22 has run 9.86@142 so those tiny small collectors sure haven't slowed these cars down. Mines pumping just fine, I'll take that money and put it somewhere else and continue going faster on the stock exhaust. I do wish I had NPP on this car. Its pretty quiet but it really sneaks up on the cars with headers.

I'm not saying you can't make any power with the stock manifolds but they ARE restrictive so you're just leaving power on the table and building more pressure in the engine causing it to work harder. The fact that you can gain 20whp on a stock ZL1 with headers shows just how restrictive the stock manifolds are and that gain will only increase as more mods are added to the car. By all means, you do you, but no question you're leaving a good bit of power on the table not using headers on these cars.

Could be but not now. I did not make much power on my C7 but the pick up at the track was substantial. Not saying that don't work cause they do. I was pointing out the E85 (or lower) is a better option and less money for the impact you'll get if measuring both. There are just other options I think people should do first. If you delete the cats you get that stink that I'm not a fan of, if you do E85 or less depending on your area you get the good smell plus the extra power. Toss up I suppose.

No question it, a flex fuel sensor and E85 is a better bang for the buck.

You bet, nice clean fuel that just smells like your cars fast. I get people asking me all the time. What fuel are you running, some kind of race fuel? There are so many people that are aware of its benefits, obviously its not for everyone but for most of us gear heads with performance cars it a wonderful way to make cheap power.

Thanks in advance for the input.

If you have some spare time and $, I'd do the following.

1. Purchase non-coated ARH kit of your choice.
2. Have your local muffler ship replace the collector slip fitting for a proper V-Band. This will make removal and install at later dates 100% easier and will eliminate any leaks.
3. Have the whole kit sent out for ceramic coating after the cutting / welding is done.
4. re-install

BONUS... Add BMR's motor mounts if you plan to wrench on the car more in the future. makes pulling and re-installing the headers a breeze. Also make the motor feel more connected to the car, and adds a pinch muscle car feel.

Good luck either way!

Stainless Works has 2 (two) versions in house American with a 3-5 week wait and about $650 more and a Chinese version always in stock and much cheaper, they actually push that version - not for me, but I'm told they aren't bad.

Only joking. What are you doing for cooling? I need to drop my MAT by 20 or so degrees
