Jus Cruisin laid out the wisdom here.

I can do what we have in East TN, West NC and northern GA, but the hot and humid deeper down south is something else. Then again, last night we had a "brisk" 20, brrr. Tradeoffs everywhere

I don't mind the snow... This is the problem I have and I'm sure you are familiar with it just as much in MN... The parking lot is painted white from salt and this will not go away until some spring rains. Also, this is really nothing compared to all the salt brine they spray on the roads before the snow storms.

I did some running around today in my F150 which is also black. It's dry and sun is out but when I got home it looked like I had been driving on dusty dirt roads. Nope, just all the salt that is covering the roads around here. Another trip through Wash Pointe tomorrow morning.

That's what I hated back in NJ, too. Once that ##&@* salt and brine makes it onto the car or truck, you have to be very, very thorough with the wash to get it all off, otherwise you just activate the remaining salt and make the rust problem a hundred times worse.

Moved to Arizona 2 years ago, from Washington State, retired years ago , so nothing was holding us there anymore. Washington State it rain's 10 months a year , green slime moss and black mold grows on everything. Here in the Desert you have 12 weeks a year it's hot, but beats 10 months a year of rain an 35 to 55 degrees.
I did take the Z L1 for a cruise yesterday to get my brake in miles 977 miles now, 523 more to reach the 1500 Owner Manual miles. It's hard to be good , but I'm almost there. Happy Motoring

I also deep cleaned the front wheels and am looking forward to the reduced brake dust!

Finally, during the other projects I noted that the coolant was down so I grabbed some Prestone dexcool tonight and filled the lower tank. This prompted me to finally add a coolant fill line that is actually visible - something I had been thinking about with my 2016 but never did. It may not be pretty, but it works!
I think you’ll love the PoweStop pads. Great work on the wheels!

Started a trip from Long Island NY to Hilton Head and then Vero Beach. Car performed flawlessly. Drove in a lot of rain on the second day. The Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tires held the road great. Averaged 27 MPG with two adults and luggage. Spending a couple of days at Hilton Head then off to Vero Beach, FL.

Took an impromptu 140 mile round trip trip to see the inlaws last night and had a couple of speed bumps crop up.

Halfway there - THWAK - picked up a pair of surface chips in the windshield a bit above my eyeline on the driver's side (oddly enough, close to the same place that I had a similar chip on the windshield of my 2016). These things seem bound to happen sometime, and at least the windshield didn't crack, but it would have been nice to get well past 5,000 miles on the car before having the windshield get dinged.

When I got in the car to head home, I saw the right rear tire was down to 25psi. Was able to make it home after airing up (and with a couple of refill stops). Woke up this morning to find a flat tire text notification. There's screw toward the middle of the tread, so at least it should be repairable.

So what will I be doing with my Camaro today? Yanking off the wheel and getting down to America's Tire this afternoon!

I'd just plug on the car if you can get to it. I've plugged tires all my life, including Corvettes, with zero issues after the fact. Worst case I'd take it off, plug it, air it up and rehang it. Done.

Although I grew up doing these occasional tire repairs with my dad in the 80's, I don't mind having a second eye on a tire that is capable of seeing triple digits in seconds. I popped the wheel off and took it to my go-to America's Tire (aka Discount Tire) location and they did it for free. Win-win.

What did I do?

Had both driver side wheels repaired because they were bent (north Kentucky potholes, not because of winter but because of neglect of the roads).

Also, changed out all O2 sensors. I am almost at 50K miles so figured it would be a good idea. But main reason was that I had 15 codes because one of the rear sensors was damaged likely from some road debris. It damaged the wiring right where they enter into the body of the sensor. Completely threw the entire O2 sensor system out of whack. A few drive cycles with the new sensors and all the codes corrected themselves.

Good repair on the sensors! How did the wheel turn out? Was it a straightening and refinish?
