Sorry to hear :(. Don't all our cars come with some sort of GPS to track them? Or is it as easy as just disconnecting the battery to turn it off?

unless they are beginner just happen to steal, it is useless system because they can just disconnect within 30sec getting into car if they are serious on stealing cars.

CAR WAS RECOVERED
OK guys, car was recovered this evening . I will be investing in LOJACK!!! LOL
And just so you know, thieves NORMALLY connect their OWN ECU and have a key that is set up for THAT ECU. Once YOUR ECU is out of the loop all the factory theft deterrent is non-existent.

Glad it was recovered! If there was no glass broken and no signs of forced entry, the thief likely grabbed the signal from your key fob using a directional antenna and repeated it at the car door to trick it into unlocking and starting as if the key was at/in the car without setting off the alarm. Separating the key fob in half so the battery is disconnected or buying a faraday pouch/box to store your key fob should prevent this. Also back up against a pole or tree and set the parking brake and leave the car in gear to make it difficult to tow out of the spot.
