Hard to find a white 2SS with red interior and manual transmission. Or I would have.

You need to remember allocations are based on the volume of camaro that a specific delaership sales. The sales manager at my dealership has a saying, "You have to turn them to earn them...

You need to find the local dealer closest to you that has the largest number of camaros in inventory or in transit. I found my local dealer in St. Louis where my 23 ZL1 was delivered less than 90 days from the order date.

Good Luck!!

Got an allocation yesterday, The odd thing was it had to include a LPO item, so I just went with the cargo net , since it was the cheapest. Also changed the color from summit white to rapid blue.

Called the dealer yesterday, and after some back and forth finally got ahold of the sales person.

I was told that my VIN could not be located in the system, although it should be there, and that I would receive a call no later than Monday to get an update and an order number.

This basically gave me a sinking feeling in my stomach and I think I need to start looking around at other dealerships. I feel like I've just wasted 6 weeks of time.

There wouldn’t be a VIN unless the car is built.

I wonder why the salesperson specifically used that term then? I guess that makes sense, can't have an identification number for something that doesn't exist. Maybe he meant order number?

Either way, not a good feeling at the end of the day here.

Wow! It seems like your dealer is incompetent. I guess in his mind VIN/Order number it's all the same . My advice, go in to the dealership and sit with the Order Manager. You'd think when people are willing to multiple tens of thousands of dollars they would at least speak using correct terminology.

The dealer I purchased my 2023 Camaro 2SS 1LE just got another allocation recently. It just showed up on their incoming inventory page today. It shows it is available. I am guessing it was just accepted by GM so there will probably still be a wait. I have purchased several vehicles from them over the years and they have always been straight up with me. Ask for Keith Wyatt (salesman) or Josh Friedman (sales manager/ordering manager) if you call them. Tell him Jeff sent you (the guy they just sold the last 1LE to). I don't know if it is an A10 or M6 or what other options is on it.

Tell me about it, I guess that sort of money just doesn't command the same level of service it used to lol.

Amazing advice, and thank you so much. I went in for a specific order as I have an idea in mind of what I want my Camaro to be, I really want the one I ordered so I'm going to give them until Monday at least.

If anything at least now I have another place to look!

When I was shopping dealers to purchase a 1LE from, one sales person kept commenting on how great the "Ricardo" seats were! When I was shopping for a WRX many years ago, a sales person repeatedly reminded me that the particular car I was looking at had the optional STI "clutch", but it was really the STI Short Shifter.

I honestly don't expect much from any sales people beyond their ability to deliver to me exactly what I ask for.

Whitespeed, you are right. I work with Sales people from my company. Even when selling software and hardware worth millions, many of the sales folks are only looking to collect a check. They have no clue what they are selling even if what they sell the company cannot deliver.

Got an update from my salesman. I'm #1 in line for allocation. The next 2SS allocation they get is mine.

Now the question is... when will they get the allocation?

Just when I thought I might not get one, I got one. Hang in there, your next problem , if you have a color that might discontinue. I had that happen on the 22 I passed on.
Happy 100th page everyone!
