4 years with a 6-speed CTS-V wagon
Hi all!
I just crossed 4 years with my 6-speed 2014 CTS-V wagon. Usually I get the new-car itch after 2 years, but in this case, I still love the V! Mine's stock, and it's so civilized and yet so engaging. I bought the car with the idea of using it for exciting mountain drives and maybe some autocross or track, but I never ended up putting the car on the circuit. In fact, I ended up getting a sports car a few years later that does the track work. (In this regard I think the Camaros have the edge, as they are ready for track work out from the factory.) But as a fast car to drive slow, the CTS-V doesn't disappoint. These Gen-2 V's are so full of analog feedback and feel! I have so many more thoughts on this lovely machine, but I'll spare you. (If you want to read them, they are on my blog here.) Best, Mike

These high performance wagons are so cool. I am not surprised you still love it.

The camaros definitely have the edge, the CTS-V wagon can't compete as far as turning is concerned. That said, it's definitely one of my dream-cars and I'd happily own it over my Camaro, even though I love the Camaro. Just the fact that GM did a CTS-V wagon is absolutely bonkers...in the right way.

I’ve run against a new Blackwing with a pro driver and I would say it is near equally to a stick SS 1LE, but nowhere close to a ZLE. Amazing acceleration and deceleration, but a bit loose at the limit and rear grip off slow corners on the stock P4s tires was an issue.
Edit - I think a CTSV wagon is the ultimate badass car! Ken

I agree. I would love to have one as a daily driver.

I literally had your twin and traded it in for profit on my ZLE. I regret it all the time, but ideally would have kept both
I had a 2014 silver wagon with 19k miles when I sold it

Yeah, these V wagons are oddball enough that if you have a good one, it seems like you should hold on to it!
