Will the Borla or Corsa X pipe increase overal exhaust volume?

Recently I purchased and installed the Corsa NPP,I love it. At idle sound great and when you floor it words cant explain the sound. I still have the stock mid pipe. I was wondering if i changed out the mid pipe would it be worth it or should i leave it stock. I also have the secondary cats deleted as well. I would just like it a tad bit louder.

Assume by "overall exhaust volume" you mean sound? Best bang for the buck is headers and a tune. I added a catted mid/x pipe when I installed my headers, but not sure if it was much gain in sound at all, but it helps in rwhp. Deleting the secondary cats is minimal at best. I kept mine for state inspection reasons.
Keep in mind, normally a professional tune/flash the ecm, will void any warranty on the powertrain. (pending on who you speak with at your local GM dealer or tuner) Not the best route if your car is heavily financed.

I'd leave it alone. It won't be a significant difference if much of any. Will deepen the sound a little

agreed- not worth the 800 or so for the x-pipe and PIA to install unless you are adding headers. Save the cash for a different mod.

So this is could be apples to oranges, but may apply across brands also.

AWE has confirmed that their axle-back exhaust is louder than their cat-back. The stock mid-pipe flows very well and it actually gets quieter to add the AWE x-pipe.

Same here, I was confused when I saw that on their website and they confirmed and explained in the below thread, Post #296.
