GM Extended Warranty
Has anyone here who has one of the GM extended warranties had a mechanical issue on track where they then denied the claim because of the track use? I know there are exclusions is you are "competitively" racing but I can also see some dealerships wanting to try and deny it if possible. I know it is ok on the performance cars like the 1LE the factory warranty is still good so I think the extended warranty should be but just wondered if anyone had any first hand experience.
Thanks Doug |

Great question! I'd love to know too. Related: can you buy a GM extended warranty after buying the car while it's still in the factory warranty?

Yes you can but the car still has to be within the factory original 3/36. That is why I am looking at it now my car is about to come out of warranty in December.

On a related question, if the car was GM Certified and has an extra year on its warranties , when does the additional Extended Warranty have to be purchased by? (assuming the car stays under 36000 miles). |

Thanks dudes! Now we just gotta see whether or not the 1LE track warranty part of it would be part of that. If so I may seriously consider buying it. My car is only 2 years old so I'm still in the window.

The best thing is to contact Dennis or Todd and get answers to all these questions. Then decide what's best for you based on their answers and reviewing the contracts. They deal with these all day long.
I bought from Todd a few months prior to factory warranty expiration on my 2017 C7 Grand Sport. There is a 30 day and 1,000 mile waiting period until the warranty goes into effect.
