2023 Camaro arrival

Ordered a 2022 in the beginning of April this year, after 3 months they contacted me that 2022's were not available and he had allocation for a 2023 with every option I ordered. I took it and received it in little over a month.
Motor was built in Bowling Green?
What a thrill to drive this beast.

Longtime BMW owner with my most recent being a 21' M3 Competition, I'm absolutely smitten with my new 23' SS 1LE. The dynamics remind me of an E92 M3 with better brakes and less understeer. The noise coming from under the hood and out back are intoxicating. I upgraded the knee pads to the GM suede pieces which definitely dressed up the cabin a bit. Found one in transit at the beginning of August and picked it up a couple of weeks ago.

I didn't consider white but I must admit, your car looks stunning in white! Congratulations on your purchase.

Thank you! Down here in FL it's the most popular car color due to the heat but I love the storm trooper look.

Congratulations! You are going to like it even more the more you drive it. My previous car was an E82 (135i) with a tune and a bunch of E92M suspension upgrades and Koni adjustable dampers.

Upgrading the knee pads in the 1SS from the hard plastic is a must. I first purchased a set of suede knee pads and then found a take off set of leather knee pads from a 2SS here on the forum. I like the leather on the doors, but the suede on the center console. Although I'm now thinking of using the leather on the center console in the warmer months and the suede in the cooler months.

Agree with you 100% on the knee pads. Overall, the I think they did a pretty good job on the Camaro interior but those knee pads stick out with how cheap they look. I went with the suede to match the wheel and seats. I imagine the leather would go well also. Either way it's a must IMO. The pads on the center console are jokingly easy to R&R. The doors made me a little nervous as the center metal clip seems to hang on for dear life.

My very first BMW was an 08' 135i 6MT. It was white/black Sensatac with the sport package being the only option. I absolutely loved that car. I came from a 21' M3 Competition that was an absolute rocket ship. It handled well, but felt more like a 5 series than a 3. I kept it about 7 months only putting 1300 miles on it. Sold it for a whopping 18K over what I paid for it at the beginning of this year.

In all, I went about 6 months without having a car. These forums and every video I could find on YouTube kept me going while I waited. I can't remember a car in recently memory that has made me feel like the Camaro. You know it's bad when you come up with excuses to drive it somewhere.

Yes sir, it's supposed to be here in a few weeks! It's been a very long wait..... & it's been 20 years since I've had a Camaro.

Yes, getting rid of those hard knee pads was one of the first mods I did. They look cheap and are hard to the touch, especially on your knee next to the center console. The pads on the center console are a breeze to change, the doors not so much. And you have to be careful not to pull the clips off the ones on the doors when you remove one.

You sound like a friend of mine who sold his 2020 C8 for 30K over what he paid for it about six months after he bought it in March of 2020. I loved my 09 135i too. That's one reason I kept it so long. Mine had the sport and convenience packages and with the mods it had it was so much fun to drive and a sleeper too.

I wanted an M2 for a while, but they were just too darn expensive, especially with two kids in college. I almost purchased a 1LE in 2019, but just couldn't pull the trigger at the time. I've been eyeing one ever since and finally was able to get my 22 earlier this year.

Received yesterday.
Purchased for my son.
Really enjoyed the approx 65 mile ride home from South West Miami.
Very impressed with the ride, linear power and sound. I also felt the Tremec manual was amazing. Great job GM!
