I notice when I put my winter 19" 255s on, my car way-overpowers those tires.

The 245's el sucko...
If straight line performance isn't the main goal, I'd go with a square setup so the tires could be rotated and go around 275/285. You'll still break them loose without the "Dude in Detroit" (nannies) helping you drive, but it would be much better on the curvy roads...

You are fine with the stock 245s for spirited driving on CA roads.
There is enough grip to enjoy the turns at 6-8 tenths. . which is as quick as you should responsibly push on the street. The all seasons light up easily with ESP off from a stop but the lateral grip is good enough for canyons. |
