Corsa CAI or Roto-Fab

Has anyone owned both and which do they prefer?

If you did a search, it'd be pretty obvious.

You would hate the import forums. The Zilvia community would slaughter people for asking questions like that.

I had the Corsa on my car for all of 25 miles before pulling it off and sending it back for a refund.

The fit and finish of the metal shield that goes around the air filter is terrible. It took me an hour to get the rubber gasket installed on the top of the shield. That was a real pain.

I would call it more of a hot air intake instead of a cold air intake. I watched intake temperatures rise 30 degrees above ambient on my P3 gauge sitting at a long traffic light.

I'm not a fan of the Roto-Fab (had one on my 2013 ZL1) but if the fit and finish is anywhere close to the 5th gen version, it will be miles better than the Corsa.

On a positive note, the Corsa CF Intake tube is gorgeous.

I'll say this, I've owned rotofab for my ss, I also have a corsa for my zl1. Did some 60-130 tests with the stock airbox did it several days. Then installed the corsa, let the car learn for a few days then did tests 2 separate days and my 60-130 dropped fastest previous was 8.2 and went to 7.3 w the corsa. That's all I needed to know , I've got the draggy data to show

I thought the same, I was about to return the unit before I saw the time posted and decided to keep it since it clearly improved.
stock runs were like this,
8.4, 8.3 8.27 8.6, 8.6
then slapped on the corsa let it learn, then ran two back to back 7.39

I recently installed a corsa axle back and it actually made me lose a little time and best 60-130 w that is 7.45, 7.5 7.6 , 7.9 , pretty marginal and should be able to clean it up once I tune it on e50

You'll love E50. I just hopped on the flex fuel train and I must say the power gains are CONSIDERABLE!

You're starting to make me wonder if I should start looking back into intakes again, but I live in California where nothing is legal so... That's always the downside

My thinking was what the hell, I'll send it back or sell it if I don't like the gains or lack of gains. I'm glad I gave it a shot. I found a guy on FB market selling one for like 550 or so.

I've got all the parts ready, just need to install the sensor, gauges and drop it off to get tuned, really looking forward to the car on E

I really really feel strongly that the prices they are charging for these intakes is not worth the money. Anything $400 and up for a cone and an intake is just price gouging on behalf of these manufacturers.

I agree that the prices are high, the reason I pulled the trigger on mine is my gf offered to pay half. So, it was ordered right away!
