Are bronze wheels out?
Hi all! I'm looking into upgrading the wheels on my 2019 SS. I have a black car and I'm not sure I'm liking the black on black look. I'm pretty adverse to silver wheels, so they're out.
I do like some the grey or gunmetal wheels but I'm really liking the bronze and black combo. My question for the forum is: are bronze wheels out? Thanks! |

I had a black 5th gen with gunmetal wheels. Started seeing the bronze becoming popular but hasn't been overdone so I don't think they'd be dated. But if you like them that's all that matters. I'm back in a black Camaro with my '23 vert and am thinking of bronze rims too.

I wouldn't say bronze was ever "in", and I don't mean that in a negative way. They don't have mass appeal like black or gunmetal.
I personally think they look great on a variety of body colors and would strongly consider for my black 2SS. Plastidip is also a relatively cheap way to experiment with changing colors of your rims if just looking at pictures isn't convincing enough. |

Personally I think the only vehicle bronze/gold wheels looked good on is the Smoke and the Bandit TA. To each his own.

Get what you like. I have two sets of wheels from apex and my bronze wheels are my summer set. I have a Nightfall Gray 1SS and I get compliments for the contrast in colors. My other set is gunmetal in the fall/winter.

No. Around here, at least with track/autox folks, there's lots of bronze wheels. Just got a set of Apex Arc 8 in bronze.
