ZL1 Throttle Lag in Sport vs. Track Mode

Hi all,
finally got my 2022 ZLE last week and I'm in the break-in 500miles right now.
Great car, but I noticed some strange lag, when I'm stepping off the throttle in sport mode. It feels like the throttle won't close immidialaty, when getting off the gas and the car keeps accelerating for maybe a quarter or half of a second. It feels weird and is completely gone, as soon as I'm switching to track mode.

Is this an intended throttle behavior?
If yes, how could I get rid of it, other than using track mode all the time

I did search the forum for that issue, but couldn't find another thread on it.

Well throttle response should be the same for sport and track. I know snow/ice has a delayed throttle response to help with traction in those conditions.

I drive around in sport alot and never felt this.

I can see that the pedal is less sensitive when using the other modes, but this usually all just applies for getting on the gas, not after letting go.

I‘ll see if this gets better once I start pushing the car more after that 500miles service

The throttle maps are the same in sport and track. I've played with this and believe it is related to the difference in the suspension lag between the modes contributing to that feeling. Basically, the weight shifts harder in track than sport, contributing to the feeling.

No they are not.

same thing happened in my 16' c7z but can't remember if track mode eliminated this behavior.
it's scary but i learned to live with it.
i don't know if this happens in the ZL1 because i haven't driven it much.

There are 3 maps adjustable under Engine\Torque Management\Driver Demand

I can rule out the suspension as my 1LE has no suspension adjustment.
It feels more like a delay in the closing speed of the throttle body.

Can you spot a difference between the sport mode and the track mode there?

I‘m also wondering what „torque shaping“ is?

We used to believe that the throttle lag, not allowing thr throttke to snap closed has s function to improve emissions.
Sport and track definitely are not the same throttle mapping.

Yes, the Map A Normal is slightly more aggressive at speeds below 60 mph than the Map C Sport. The Map C Sport is slightly more aggressive above 60 mph than the Map A Normal. What the values in the table do is control requested torque, torque is how everything is modeled/controlled for timing and throttle blade position control.

Driver Demand Torque Shaping: If enabled, the Driver Demand torque will be shaped for drivetrain bump and ringing prevention.

Yeah you guys are correct. It was late- I wasn't thinking correctly. Tour and Sport are the same map and Track is different (as is snow/ice).

I have mine set up with 2019+ Track mapping in both Track and Tour/Sport.

I stand by my position that the suspension contributes to what some might be feeling on a standard non 1LE car. Since my throttle map is the same in Sport and Track, I can tell you that it feels different when I set the suspension to Track vs Sport and let off the throttle in both modes.

Believe what you want here. I'm just telling you my experience on my car. Obviously mine is not a 1LE

Actually, strangely enough, Throttle mode A,B,C are not labeled correctly. These are generic labels for all GM ECU's. What I have found tuning these cars is the following for ZL1's:

Map A is Tour/Sport mode
Map B is Track mode
Map C is Weather mode

Driver Demand for Map A and C is the same for the 2022 ZL1 1LE M6.

Thanks for that info!
Is it possible to apply the „Track“ throttle map to sport/tour as-well?
