Just duked it out with a C8 on some backroads for about 7 or 8 minutes. I was on the way back home from a cruise and next thing I know a C8 was on my a$$.
Truth be told, I could not lose him. However, I did pull on him and kept him at bay about 1.5 turns back, but he indubitably drove his a$$ off. Pulled over at the end of the road and chatted him up a bit. Really cool guy. He admitted that he was just getting back from getting the track alignment on his car. Otherwise his car is stock. I'm on the old Hankook's. hahaha He's a fellow track rat and also owns two McLarens. Honestly, that was the first well driven C8 that I've seen all year. Kudos to "Turbo Mike" from New Jersey. CARRY THE HELL ON! |

People have already said it - but I'll say it again.
First off you can't find one on the ground that's not sold, second you WILL pay an ADM no getting around it, their charging ADM's on used units , third in order to stay on par with a stock ZL1 you will have to do a bunch of upgrades at order such as the Z51 package, etc, etc which will put you at around the $85K area, fourth and this is the biggest issue YOU CAN'T ORDER ONE WITHOUT AT LEAST A YEAR OR LONGER WAIT ... (My Opinion and I've had a lot of SC cars and trucks) A new stock ZL1 with a factory warranty is the best bang for your buck SC vehicle you can buy in todays market (and such an awesome platform to build on). I just bought a completely stock no optioned black on black ZL1 6 speed for $66K which in my view leaves me $20K for mods if I want. As I would have spent $86K on the Vette ... and one last VERY important issue is: You can order a manual tranny if you want, in the others no way Jose'...

The ZL1 prices have jumped from the 22 model and 23 model year so i have a allocation for a C8 coming up at msrp so it is a no brainer the C8 wins over the Camaro. Really wanted the ZL1 but when I get the C8 and could trade it in for well more than I paid for it on a ZL1-options are with the C8 if you can buy a new one at MSRP and if you do not care for it sell it for more money on trade in.

Hell, with that one they are asking for a $100 deposit. A lot better than the $50k. The Roadster should be a lot faster since it should with a lot less and if it gets its 600 mile range. That'll be a game changer. |

ZL1, esp. the ZLE are much more rare. In Miami, those C8’s are all over the place, nobody is even giving attention to them any more… On the fun side, we had an argument about this with a friend who is also a car guy. I offered him a beer every time he sees a car like mine on the road and sends me a pic. Guess what, I only bought him 1 beer over the past 6 month lol. And if it would be a C8, I’d be running to that grocery store every day lol.
Now the C8 Z06 is another animal. And I kind of want one. The only problem is that on the outside it’s looking too much similar to a base C8 and non-car people will not notice it. This dilutes it’s “specialness” and oh yeah, getting one is like mission impossible. |

![]() Before I get labeled as a Tesla or Musk hater, though, I admire the man's tenacity, drive and intelligence, plus I also think the car industry as a whole was more than ripe for a gigantic kick in the ass, pardon, disruption, which he successfully achieved. I just don't do extremes and don't like shady business practices either.
