She arrived today. Dealership is working the numbers then it’s a 3 hour road trip!

I'm not mature enough for this thing. It's going to be trouble.

I didn't get 5 miles from the house this morning and a CTS-V bro slowed down on the highway to rev at me.

I'm 56 and it's like a drug. Roll the windows down and the exhaust note will get you in big trouble.

My original eta was 8/7 then pushed to 9/13 now its pushed back to 9/30. Car has been sitting waiting delivery for 2 months. Gm is an F ing joke. How are cars delivered ahead of older orders that are marked sold.

Stupid thought how long does it take for car tires to start getting flat spots on them. By the Tim i get the car it will be close to 3 months.

Granted this is provided the railroad workers don’t strike on the 16th. Which its sounding very likely they do.

Sadly, it's not a GM problem. If it's waiting then it may be waiting for parts, which GM cannot control after they sign contracts. They also sign contracts for shipping/delivery. We could blame GM for signing poor contracts that date back to before these issues. Companies that do shipping/delivery are losing money by not delivering cars. It's not what they want either. So then you have to look at why deliveries are understaffed... and then you find the reason for many of the delays we have - people don't want to put in an honest days work. We have an entitlement problem that is causing a supply chain problem that is causing a delay problem.

I wasn't prepared for my early delivery. It caught me off-guard.

Some of that may be true but doesn't dismiss the TERRIBLE lack of communication from GM. Mine was built in June and still sitting there and GM says nothing except it was produced and released to the carrier with no ETA. That is way too long without really telling me and others in the same situation what the real problem is. There is no excuse for that.

Some of us are still waiting for 2022’s that were built earlier than June.

I feel terrible about that (even though I have zero to do with it). I did feel bad taking delivery a few days early knowing so many 22 models are still sitting. It makes no sense. I fully expected to take delivery in December and was mentally prepared for an endless amount of ETA delays. For sure, their system is flawed.

First and foremost it’s not waiting parts. It is a fully built vehicle in GM,s system identified as a sold vehicle. Which is supposed to prioritize delivery of the car. However I would assume about at least 80% are that classification.

From a business perspective how can they have so much wip on their books. It’s not logical. Also the complete lack of information is appalling. If I continuously missed customer deadlines we would be either replaced or worst yet out of business.
