Synergy vs Kong - Porting
Has anyone had experience with the porting available from Synergy? I know most guys opt for the trusted Kong porting BUT Synergy looks like a safe and solid choice as well.
Just plan on kooks long tube headers, 103TB, ATi Damper/9" lower pulley, upper pulley, UPR Catch can, Ron Davis or Wepaon X Heat exchangers. Already have AWE Cat back and Rotofab CAI Main use will be a street car BUT will also do some road racing 2-3 times year hence the cooling upgrades/focus. My guess for a summary statement is... all porting work from the 5 most popular vendors are an improvement. to what extent, we may never know fully... I suggest building a relationship with your vendor of choice. The more you support a particular vendor (buy purchasing and reviewing their products) the more likely you are to get better support when you need it. Just my 2 cents

Car I did the tuning on was running the Kong standard port with the 103 TB and switched to the Synergy race port and picked up 3 lbs of boost over the Kong blower with less pulley. Kong had 2.175 and Synergy had 2.3 on it. Car was tuned on the street so dont have exact before and after dyno numbers, but it picked up 2 mpg in the 1/8th mile in same weather conditions. I think the Kong X port probably closes that gap some. Both units are top notch.
