Nitrous question

Just curious...on a lt1 with a zl1 in tank fuel pump, can you run a 150 shot?

I’d say you’d be fine. If you’re doing the ZL1 in tank I’d do the JMS voltage booster at the same time just to be sure.

Agreed, additionally, depending on how tight your piston ring gaps are, some LT1s last a while on a 150 shot, and some don't.

It is a roll of the dice on the stock internals. Some live after several 200 shots. Some blow a ring land before killing the 1st full bottle on a 150 shot. If you are playing with stock internals and you want it to last, keep it at 100 shot or under. Otherwise, save up for forged drop ins if you want to play with big boy shots.

I agree with Josh and will add that you should consider the following:

Colder plug(non projected tip 7 heat range).
Pull 2 degrees of timing per 50hp (general rule of thumb as starting point).
Don't run too rich(.82-.84 lambda) should be plenty fat.
Read the plugs after making a pull with little drive time on them.

Higher compression tight ring gapped engines generally tolerate Nitrous better then Boost when setup correctly. Where some run into trouble is being lazy and not getting the tune dialed in.

Good call on the plugs too!
