Thx, we did get a lot done. Together we've done about 6 installs and have it down to a science but with all the additional fuel lines running around the perimeter of the engine bay it took some thinking on placement. Mike did the leg work but we had to do some tweaking as its really tight on the passenger side rear corner. We got it figured out and passed on all the info to Mike. Can't wait to fire it Wednesday.

Looks GREAT!!! That 10-rib looks nice, too. All of it is really clean.

Thx, it's really cool that Mike (thpsi) and his son Mike Jr are coming to the Fest to tune the car. Should be very interesting. I'm going to learn something new and thats not easy at 70.7 years old. I do have a few other pics I'm getting ready to load.

So tied up a few ends and are a couple more pics. Dam near done, I think its coming along pretty good. Had to make the changes in the Rotofab, the NA comes out straight from the snow and the Magnuson snout comes out toward the driver side. The controller is a couple days behind and it's nows supposed to be here Thursday. Since Mike is coming to tune the car at the Fest, not as worried as I was before. Should be good to go fast Last edited by laynlo15; 08-29-2022 at 07:32 PM. |

So we were sitting out having some wine and I had left my shop light on while working under the hood and looked back and this caught my eye, I thought man that would be a good pic so I took a shot. Life pretty good at 70, not sure how long that will last but lets get it while we can.

Getting down to the wire. Matts coming back today to do some wiring and a couple other things. Waiting on Mike for the base tune so I can load it after Matt gets his part done. Mike sent a couple of fittings I need to go into the intercooler bricks so I can finish the cooling system. Need to hook up the AEM AFR wiring, not running a gauge, just wiring it so I can hook the lead that goes into the HP Tuners Dongle (sound dirty) and then I can read it on my HP Tuners logs. Controller will be here tomorrow so now that Labor Day weekend is coming up it will be probably Saturday or Sunday before Matt can wire that into the ECU and then onto the dyno Sunday afternoon or Tuesday which is right before we leave on Wednesday for the Fest. Once again we are down to the wire but unless something screws up we'll be there on Thursday when registration opens and on the track for passes Friday morning.
Anyone have some guesses on how fast it will run? I'm thinking if it makes 625 it will run 10.55@131 if the 555r2s will hook. Sure hope so. |
