2022 Black 6 piston brembo calipers from factory?

Saw this Rapid Blue Convertible online and the black 6 piston brembo calipers caught my eye. Anyone seen this before? Noticed on window sticker the copper pads were optioned, so did that push the 6 piston brembos as there is no charge listed for those. Just curious. What gives?

It has the Copper Free Brakes, which includes the black 6 piston calipers on non 1LE cars.

Absolutely insane, I count my blessings every day that I was able to purchase in 2020.

Brakes

I just upgraded my 2ss to the Chevrolet Performance 6 piston calipers.
It cost me $680 to get them powder coated black.

Yep, only difference between 1LE copper-free and SS's with the copper-free, is the red and black colors. One of reasons that pushed me towards the 1LE.

The copper free is a requirement in CA and Oregon. It has nothing to do with 6 piston/ 4 piston, Brembo, it means the pads and the brake lines contain no copper. And you get to pay a grand extra for your car. If you purchase a new car in either of those states it has to be copper free.

You forgot to mention ticking that option equips the car with the biggest brake package available on the Camaro, period. Or did you miss the memo on that?
