I'm sure their "conversion rate" among their faithful HEMI enthusiasts will be way higher—Dodge simply knows better how the game is played, as opposed to gm abandoning the Camaro like it's an embarrassment, not updating anything meaningful for years (decal editions don't count), slowly taking options away, not communicating, unable to provide meaningful order tracking information.

(And no, I don't think we need to hear the hundredth time how this is all irrelevant and switching to all-in EV strategies is what matters and that most sales go to China etc.)
Been a Chevy/ Camaro guy most of my young life. Now I drive a cummins powered RAM and have owned a Hellcat (power dollars). Maybe this will wake them up as dodge once again picks their pocket on volume. Pretty obvious the C8 was the worst thing to happen to Camaro.

Speaking of electric cars I was at a natural gas peaker plant a couple weeks ago. They are starting to feel the pain of renewables and additional strain on the grid. This was in KY so probably minor compared to say CA issues.

They historically operate 5% of the time. It’s a small three turbine plant. Now they are running 30% of the time. Renewables are intermittent due to wind and solar fluctuations. That’s crazy, they weren’t designed for that.

Coal plants provide the baseline level of energy (midwest). Demand that is always required, takes a coal plant around 24hr to fire up when it’s warm. Natural gas peaker plants can start producing energy in about 20min after getting the phone call to turn on. They cover higher demand like hot days (a/c increase, etc). Coal plants have went offline because renewables are cheaper for multiple reasons (subsidies on green and restrictions on coal) so the effect has been an unstable baseline of energy like we used to have.

This means we need to start building more natural gas peaker plants or start expecting blackouts. But they won’t. We’ve already had some blackouts recently in the Midwest.

Expect more blackouts.

Want to see the green future? Look to Europe. Home energy costs are expected to approach $5,000+ PER MONTH this winter. This is the future the environmentalists want for us.

I will not purchase anything from a manufacturer that has decided to eliminate ICE from their lineups. No more Dodge/Stallantis, no more Government Motors. Ford still retains ICE so I suspect another Mustang or F150 is in my future.

I might go mustang as well. Ford would be wise, with Chevy/Dodge exiting a large chunk of gearheads will probably go that route. Could be a good move for them at least short term.

According to Representative Jason Smith, ‘inflation reduction’ act contains $27 BILLION climate change slush fund for EPA- 3x its annual funding… Kudos to Ford if they endure these headwinds and continue to offer a V8 pony car, but I wouldn’t count in it…

If they do, I’ll be a fan for sure.

Indeed! Who would've thunk it as even being possible?
It's like when I studied Tide in Marketing. The product was like 40 years old (at the time) and had been "new and improved" 57 times!

You have the option of charging your EV at home though, so do you absolutely need all of your clients to have a charging station?

For the sporty stuff, I'd argue that its all encompassing. Not just power/acceleration but handling, and braking too. The Plaid S is just a one trick pony on the acceleration front. Otherwise its terrible as a sporty/sports car.

I'm sure most people will say that the 1LE package makes a SS Camaro more sporty. But the 1LE package has no power upgrades over a normal SS.
I see dozens of Camaro's driving around everyday. I think that is the definition of daily. Isn't it?

Remember, just because you can doesn’t mean you should.

It could be done but just isn’t practical.

Oh and you don’t know the pain of designing a car around a standard battery pack.
electric forklifts carry batteries that weigh 5,000 pounds.takes 5 minutes and a hoist to change them.and they generally last 10 hours on a full charge.

Fork lift isn’t a car.

Again it could be done and gets talked about.

But don’t you simply wonder if it were really a good idea why someone wouldn’t have done it?
