'15 2LS tire shopping

Excessive nail penetration on one of my BFGoods. I've been very happy with these original "spec" tires. 245/55/18. I've narrowed my selection down to another set of SPECs, regular T/A radials, or BFGoodrich Advantage T/A Sports. Car is my DD so maximum life and ride quality take precedence over corner hanging performance. Anyone face the same dilemma recently? And what is so "spec" about the SPEC radial?

If you were closer I would just give you the full set off of mine. 15k on the tires, stacked up on cardboard in my shop collecting dust.
