Last night I ran over something that slashed my tire on the ZL1 pretty good. I found out when I received a text that my left rear tire lost all the air pressure. Headed out to the garage hoping it wasn't true but sure enough flat as a pancake. I tried to plug it but the gash it too big. I got two plugs in there at the moment until a new tire gets here on Monday.

My OCD kicks in and I don't want one new tire and one used on the rear so now I have two coming. Now I get to worry about whether the installer will scratch the rims.

White is hard to photograph but in person it looks super clean and tight. I had the front from the doors forward, mirrors, A Pillars, front of the sunroof, side skirts, and splash areas covered in Xpel PPF and then had the car ceramic coated and the windows tinted. It'll need to go back to have the hood area worked on where they wrapped it around the edges but the same thing happened with my Vette so I'm not too concerned. I know the tow hook isn't everyones cup of tea but I personally like the way it looks. I still need to put the ZL1 addons front rock guards on but I've had enough for one day. My suggestion on the new tires would be to do your best to find someone with a touch-less machine to get the old tires removed and the new tires installed. Those machines are like having an extra set of hands.

I’ll add those machines use a hard plastic, maybe delrin or nylon, at every location that can come in contact with the rim.

Find a shop that does Corvette wheels without damage and that would be the shop to use. Even most dealerships have good tire mounting machines now. Good luck and do some research first.

I hear ya. I am paying more than normal for an installer with the right Hunter machine and experience working on higher end cars to do the job on this car. I recall I had a chevy dealer put tires on my 2013 Camaro 1LE. They had to give me a loaner since they messed up one of the wheels and had to send it out to be repaired. Ridiculous. I have better work done at a Costco Tire Center.
