Cooling Systems Question

I was wondering how many cooling systems our cars have, and what their maintenance schedules are.

Obviously, there is the regular engine radiator system. And there is apparently a supercharger cooling circuit, which has that tank that is empty on the bottom half, and is there another system for the differential, and what about the transmission?

And does the supercharger ever need lubrication?

I would appreciate any insight into these questions and suggested maintenance schedules too.

Thanks.

Engine cooling circuit and supercharger cooling circuit. Tank on the passenger side is engine coolant. Stock form it doesn't have a tank for the supercharger coolant. Just a bleeder coming off the supercharger coolant crossover tubes. Not sure about maintenance schedules

Thanks. So which of those 2 circuits cools the trans and diff?

Not sure about the maintenance schedule for the LT4 supercharger cooling circuit, but here are the coolers in all their glory.

In many instances on this forum the LT4 S/C circuit had air pockets from the factory, burping it (and/or adding an aux tank) helped those owners with performance significantly.

I have not heard of any necessary maintenance on the cooling system or supercharger. I also just double checked in the owner's manual and high performance supplement -- no mention of any maintenance.

While there is no coolant reservoir for the supercharger from the factory, there are a couple of easy to install options which let the system "self-burp" and prevent air from getting in the lines. I have the ADM Intercooler Reservoir v2. Cordes is another option.

That was a helpful diagram. The trans is probably cooled by the trans fluid itself, being pumped through the radiator.

The diff, on the other hand probably gets its cooling likely from somewhere else.

I think GM used to say service this coolant every 5-years or 100K miles. That was decades ago when the extended life coolant came out. I don't know and haven't heard recently. A search of the Owner's Manual didn't yield info either...
