I have had 4 newer gen Camaros used for the track. SS 1LE, 2015 z/28, 2018 Zl1 and now the ZLE. I also had a 2022 porsche gts 4.0 with pdk. Sold the Porsche in favor of the ZLE. 2 of those cars were manuals. Both amazing and fun cars...loved them all. The A10 in the Camaro is a pretty amazing transmission tho. I got it because I am competing in an all-American car Time trials race and needed an advantage. The A10 is a big advantage for speed on the track. Is it less engaging and visceral? yes. Is it faster? yes. Is it fun on the track? absolutely. If you have shoulder problems, get the A10, you won't regret it. It is almost as sharp as a pdk when in performance mode on the track. Around town it shifts like an old-school automatic, but, oh man....on the track it is a beast!

Having had a 21 GT500 and a 21 Mach one A10 at the same time (same tranny as the A10 ZL1) the 500 tranny was amazing, the A10 very good but not as good. I sold them both (couldn't pass up the whopping profit margins I got on both). Cars are cars, they come, they go, the more I have the more educated and experienced with all aspects I get. There will always be a better model, it's like chasing a Ghost, one minute it's here, the next it's there... They are all check boxes on my bucket list.

As far as Harleys go - if you go touring bagger then the answer is Road Glide hands down
How did you like the GT500? What feedback of that vs the Camaro?

I have a ZLE and have tracked it for last 4 years with gaps for COVID. I love it and plan to keep it for at least 2-3 more years, still best bang for buck track car IMO, can hang close or beat anything up to GT3 RS.

That being said I’m surprised you sold the 2022 911 GTS, it’ll do 0-60 in under 3 sec all day and 1/4 mile under 11. Lighter than ZLE, and with the right alignment and track wheels/tires (3Rs), based on my experience tracking 991 GT3, GT3 RS and Turbo S, it would probably be easier to drive fast consistent laps than ZLE. Im sure you sold for at or over what you paid though, and track insurance on a GTS might be 2x ZLE :-)

Nothing like a 6spd manual that comes loaded with rev matching if you have issues with heel/toe.

The 6spd makes the ZLE lighter and more engaging. The Tremec TR6060 along with the ZL1 short throw shifter is among the top 5 shifters in existence.
What are the other four? Just curious.

I really appreciate any info.
thx
Mine has 10k miles and used only by me. It's had no issues other than short OEM tire life. It does not consume any 5W30 but goes thru 0W40 pretty quickly.
