I have a question I was at the drag strip and the best 60ft I was able to achieve was a 1.7 on 17 MT r’s launching off idle. How can I decrease my 60ft and is it better to launch in manual mode for first gear? please let me know and thanks.

I have to launch in 2nd gear which can be done with TCM tuning on an A8 (which I have). Best 60’ is a 1.47 and it’s dead consistent. Depending on the year of your ZL1 you can either tune the TCM or if it’s newer (‘19-up I think) you’d have to pay for a different TCM to be able to tune it. There have been threads on this board about that process.

Need a trans tune so the throttle will open all the way off the line or it's never going to 60ft any harder.

I just launch right off idle, best 60ft is 1.72 on my 2022 Lt1. I think I could break into the 1.60s if I was running a stock height drag radial. Mine are just about 3/4" taller, but I don't really care about that now, they look better and when I get boosted next month they'll pay off.

Yes…and I spin. First gear is too steep…maybe if I did a 15” rear conversion but I don’t have good luck trying 1st with my 17” drag pack. I’m simply way more consistent and spin way less launching in 2nd. No RPM build up, I just hit the gas starting in 2nd.
