They raised the ride height slightly as respects the ZLE in 2019+MY as they noticed no aero performance loss in having that low in 2018. Less scraping issues and transportation issues due to that.

The 2019+MY do have more pops/crackles and more 'toys'. That being said - I am quite happy with my 2018 MY as it doesn't have the top mounted rear camera or collision avoidance...which represent more things that could go wrong.

Wireless Carplay is great in 2019+MY however I still need to plug in my phone to have it charged so it's neither here nor there for me.

For me the biggest reason not to move to a new MY from my 2018 is due to the rear tail lights. The 2018 MY tail lights are still the best to date (subjective I know) - classy and aggressive.

Having owned both a 2019 and a 2022, I can confirm all the changes in this thread, but on this point (the backup camera) I have to say it still sucks ass in 2022 compared to other vehicles I own...just grainy and nowhere near the resolution of the rearview mirror camera for instance (which I LOVE as an improvement over trying to look through the wing on the 2019).

Also noticed way more crackle on decel in the 2022, glad to know I'm not crazy and it was an actual change made.

I also see the much higher mileage (instantaneous anyway) on the highway, but I'm usually matting it so I get the usual 8MPG average lol.

Yep, I am surprised how much more snap, crackle, pop I get on the A10. I assume the tune plus the fact that the A10 holds gears longer is the cause.

2019 ZLE here. I do not have wireless android auto/carplay. Nor do I have collision avoidance. The rear backup camera is mounted just above the license plate on the bumper on my car. So these features must've been on 2020 or later model years.

If you have the PDR option then it removes forward collision detection.

May need to add milk.

Kidding aside, I thought the tune was changed in 2019? Maybe later on the ZLE?

How about a few pictures? Am I dreaming or does the '22 have bigger fender gaps than before?

Aha! Well that's why I don't have it. Good riddance. Rather let the car give me lap times

I noticed it the most when you rev up above about 4K RPM in gear and then let off the gas and coast in the same gear...it's ridiculous. Wasn't like this at all in my 2019. I don't hate it but it definitely will get some attention lol.

Prrrr-pop-pop-pop-pop-crackle-pop-pop-BAM-pop-pop-pop

(In contrast, my 2018 is simply "prr-pop-pop" almost every time, more subtle but quite audible.)

My 2020 LT1 had absurdly more pops than my 2018 ZL1. The tune you have described does not discriminate from trim. Just the MY after 18’.

Edit: when I added the GM cold air intake that comes with a GM tune that the dealer installed.. my pops kind of went away on this car as I remember.

Right! Less nanny intervention and more access to awesomeness!

Also, that username... Prior 02 WS6 owner using the SLP ram air style intake lid?

That would likely mean that they are accounting a little bit more airflow and are potentially adding more timing to the tune and maybe softening up the timing on DFCO.

Without actually studying the tune they gave you and comparing it to the OE LT1 tune I'm really just making blind assumptions here.

Not an '02, but I had a '99 T/A and a '00 WS6. They're in my sig. I acquired the handle ramair02 back in the fbody.com & ls1tech days (circa '01 - '02) as a middle schooler, maybe freshman in high school. An '02 WS6 was my dream car. Luckily I was able to make that dream a reality a few years later, albeit different year cars from that generation.
