Diff Leak on new zl1..
Hi all
I have a 2019 zl1 that I bought new last year, I have roughly 700 miles on it and the rear differential seems to be leaving some drip marks in the driveway. The dealer replaced the right rear axle seal and then took it back a second time after they said it needed to be re torqued. They had the car two times and it is still leaking, and this will be my third time going back... Any advice on how I should handle this with them before getting corporate involved? Am I wrong for wanting the differential replaced at this point? Any input greatly appreciated, thanks guys! |

I would bring it to another dealer at this point.

Yeah, the issue is that I’m getting tuned in June so this has to get fixed without failure before then. I figured I’d give them one more shot until I go to different place. I think it is the pinion seal in the front side since it is not leaking from the drain plug on the back.

I don't think a tune will effect a documented issue on the diff but you never know. Its probably the pinion seal like you said.

I have a 21 ZL1 with 3600 miles on it and my rear diff is leaking, not sure where it is coming from since the techs found it during an oil change. It will be in on Monday 7/11 for warranty repair.

I hate reading these, makes me paranoid af about my 2022 with only 900 miles on her. I was thinking about having the dealer do the diff fluid change at 1500 but not I'm not so sure.

Just had my 2022 ZL1 diff oil flushed and changed. Try and find a tech that works exclusively on Corvettes and Camaros. I'm lucking that I know the tech at my dealership and he is the only one who touches my car.
Vehicle has 800kms on it and this is very much a required service. |

I'll have to read up on it. I do all my own stuff on my other cars but this one I just wanted to have everything documented but my last dealer visit was less than stellar.

Yeah I've purchased some race ramps but they are still sitting in the box, just had the oil changed recently. |
