ZL1 vs. steep driveway

I have a 2022 ZL1 in the way and I'm wondering if my driveway will be an issue. For those of you that have ZL1's, do you think this driveway will be too steep? Thank you for your input.

Hate to say it but I bet it scrapes. My driveway isn’t that steep and mine just barely scrapes unfortunately. I hope yours isn’t so steep that it hits the actual splitter.
May have to try going up at a weird angle. Works for me sometimes

i agree, i would guess you'll barely scrape. Angle to the best of your ability

Probably not if you go at an angle, depending on what side you come in it is a must anyway...

^^^What he said. Just drive parallel to your curb and sharply turn into your driveway. You'll be fine.

That, or you could try always backing into the driveway.

For extra protection, get a pack of this and save the bottom of your splitter relatively cheaply: https://www.amazon.com/stores/SLIPLO...3-33FA8BF186B3

That would be just as bad as going straight on. Plus their driveway is on a busy road so backing in wouldn't be smart either.

I suggest driving on and off at an angle, slowly. You'll be fine.

I'd also look into getting one of those anti scrape things you can attach to the bottom of the front lip.

Luckily the front painted splitter is super cheap from GM and its prepainted. Its like $140.

The ZL1 actually has decent clearance. As mentioned above, if you hit it at an angle (barely turn in off the main road) you might be ok.

Mines worse than that and I barely scrape going up it at about a 45* angle. The good thing is it only scrapes the little rubber deflectors under the splitter and they're really cheap to replace. They just slowly get worn down after many many rubs

That’s great if your splitter doesn’t drag on a ZLE. I’ve been worried about finding some bottom protection for mine when it gets here.

Similar situation, reverse in almost 100% of the time. Still scrape air deflectors if I try exit too quickly, so patience is rewarded.

You should be fine. I don't scrape on mine but I go up on three wheels each time I go up and thus need to build a little speed getting up each time.

Take it at an angle and you'll be fine.
