HELP. Sleeve came out of camber plate.

I was changing my camber plates back to street configuration and screwing the bolts back in. One had difficulty going in but I didn't feel like I was stripping it.

It turns out I didn't strip it; instead I somehow drove/screwed the sleeve out of the hole. See pictures.

The sleeve will not thread back into the hole (yes,I tried it from the bottom.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Would a new sleeve go in better? Maybe the old one is deformed from being driven out? Can this part be ordered?

Thank you in advance.

If you want to repair cheap or just a fast temp fix you can run a high quality bolt that fits the hole snugly from top or bottom and put a nut on top. I looked into this when I was worried about those weak looking DSSV sleeves and considering a more reliable bolt/nut solution so I wouldn't worry about every time I went for alignment.

The TQ spec on these is only 16 lbs, which is very low--beware I always put this TQ number on tape around by strut tops when I get alignment.

Techs aren't used to working with a camber plate that has a bolt threading down vs a nut clamping down on a strong steel stud coming up from the camber plate.

If you replace the sleeve you'll have to go larger helicoil insert, these are not as good as OEM especially when added to aluminum.

Thank you for the quick response. I will probably go the route of a bolt and nut setup. Also, I thought the torque for these was 24 lb-ft?

No it's 16, but using 24 shouldn't cause a 16 spec sleeve to pull out. BMR used to have something like 30+ lb in their strut brace instructions so I researched it and it's 16--BMR changed instructions based on my complaint. I think 24 lb may be for the ZL1 Mag suspension with steel studs.
