Tire Pressure Question
I understand that we want to run our rear Nitto R2's at 27 - 29 psi hot for street use. For me, that means I need to have my cold tire pressure at 24 - 26 psi. Of course, that triggers the TPMS light on my dash. After the day warms up, my tire pressure goes up to 27psi, but the light stays on. So far, I have not noticed any downside to this. I have made a few hard acceleration passes and all seems fine. Am I missing anything?

There is not performance reduction tied to low pressure warning. I've got the same tires and shoot for 27-28 cold on the street vs. dealing with the warning light.

I don't think this is true. Low pressure warning is ok and won't pull any power. However, a TPMS error will pull power.

![]() I run with low pressure in the back all the time and it has no impact to the car, no TqMgtAdv impact or anything.

Thanks, guys. Just to clarify: A TPMS error is different than a low pressure warning. I have the low pressure warning showing on the bottom right hand of the speedometer.

I'm confused, I have no TPMS sensors in my BCForged tires and i'm not seeing any power being pulled.

This has been discussed on here and this was the result. You can have 4 sensors or zero sensors and all is ok. You cannot have just 2. You will eventually get a TPMS error.

I’ve run stock Supercar3’s at 30-32psi hot on extra rims for 4 years without TPMS; and Nitto 555R2 with TPMS as my street tri-season at 32 psi cold and as my wet-track at 32psi hot. Great experience with both. And never ever pulled power with TPMS error.
