Now a total waste of money that I spent was for a panel filter. I bought one at Summit Racing that was their house brand probably made by K&N that didn’t produce any gains but could be cleaned and reused as the stock paper filter seemed to flow better than the Summit one. In my opinion the RotoFab wasn’t a waste of money but that’s just me.

Like the link says, you can do good closed dyno's but you need a big fan in front of the car blowing enough air to keep temps down and simulate airflow a car would feel whole driving.
sounds like a huge pain to get all your dyno wires out of the engine so the hood can close, not get caught up in a pulley or anything or hit the headers etc. still dont see it doing anything. a large fan will push air though the bumper and up and into the stock air box. smaller fans with the hood open is just going to allow the filter to breath. like said, increasing air is going to increase power and my dyno showed that.

I like the whine a Hellcat makes. So I bought a AFE Cardon Fiber Track series. Best looking Cold air I found, plus a LT5 throttle body. THE AFE looks way better than the rotofab, plus the inlet off the filter is huge. If I dont get 20 HP I am good as long as I hear the blower.

I've always been partial to my old CAI, although the whine isn't as loud as the RF.

I'm confused as to why this thread was even started? A quick search have answered the question very effectively considering it's been gone over a million times already?

So closed is a technical term, you don't have to fully close it. Keep it cracked, like when you pull the release handle in the car. Wires will fit fine out the side where they always go.

The little fans don't help for much except keep the air flowing to keep the IATs down so the engine doesn't pull timing.

So you say increasing air flow is going to increase power? What do you think happens when a vehicle is going from 50 mph to 150 mph? Putting a larger fan in front of the vehicle is just like it driving down the road. Sucking in cool air. Kinda confused on what you were trying to say.
