If I ordered the black suede knee bolsters but not the package, do I need to adjust my order? Which of the two elements of the package is on constraint? Will Chevy adjust my order and just delete newly constrained parts? Or do I need to adjust the order myself? If I do that, will my order be lose any place it had in any que and start over with a new submission date?

GM is apparently cancelling all remaining 22 orders and they will need to be resubmitted as 23 orders by the dealer. I mean that would null and void all price protection, I could totally see this happening.

"To qualify for GM Price Protection, the production date of the vehicle must be on or after the effective date of the price increase. If the vehicle was already built when the price increase was applied, the customer will have to pay the uprated price."

It's all going to depend on when the official price increase happens. For those of us with TPW's in the next few weeks, we are probably screwed.

Was the price increase announced in May not official increase?

You'll be paying 23 pricing. Different pricing, different model year. It's your dealerships fault for taking your order with out allocation available.

Lots of people in line who won't blink twice paying the increase. Tread water lightly or your order will never leave 1100. They won't want to deal with you unfortunately.

Wonder what our lives would be like if this allocation bullshit didnt exist??? What if we could just go down to any dealer and place an order! And the car arrives 6-8 weeks later!!!! I guess I just dont understand this GM business model.

Rumor is that it's going to stay like this inventory wise for the next 3-4 years.

I'm a pretty patient guy but I will admit this process is garbage. This is the third vehicle I've order from GM (1997 Pontiac Gran Prix, 2008 GMC Acadia, 2023 2SS). Never in the past was it like this. I talked with my dealer today and he told me this week Stingray Chevy got 1 vert allocation. It seems that is all they get lately. As frustrating as it is I am committed to the wait.

I was told that I need to order a 2023 since by 2022 order I put in last June never got accepted but my dealer says that they can’t order ZL1 1LE yet. Does that make sense, I see others are getting orders in?

23 banks are open but the longer you wait the less chance you have of getting it. I think the ZL1 1LE's are manual allocation. Maybe your dealer doesn't have an allocation for it or they have a list of people already with orders in?
