1SS 1LE vs Regular 2SS
Hey everyone,
For somebody who is not intending to track the car, just for daily driving mostly highway; is the 1SS 1LE a better option than the regular 2SS? Aspects like confort, general value of the car, technology, interior… I want to hear your thoughts. Why and why not? Thanks!

depends on what you are looking for
1ss has cloth seats no lighting no heated or cooled seats 2ss has more bells and whistles but same performance 1le has bigger brakes and wheel/tires esld etc...

If your not going to track it, I would get the 2SS and with the $7k you saved on not getting the 1LE, option out the 2 SS the way you really want it. it's the same motor either way and horsepower is the same.

1ss 1le you get the recurs of mix of leather and alcantara, and leather back seats. You get the active exhaust, magna ride and best looking wheels out there plus they are 275 front 305 rear.
the 2SS you are going creature comfort of heated and cool seats, rearview mirror camera and lighting. I chose the 1SS 1LE as I will never track it but in my eyes it has the wheels I love. the active exhaust and the recaros. I dont really need to put any money into it with wheels and other items and when you add it up the 7grand for the package isn't to bad if you were to add a bunch of stuff after market.

THIS exactly... If you aren't going to track, skip the 1LE and go for the 2SS creature comforts...

For context: I have an order for an 2023 2SS with NPP and 56V. Problem is that the 2SS have been in constrains since I ordered the 2022.
My dealer just told me that he have been ordering more Camaros and skipping mine because of the constraints on the 2SS. I was thinking in downgrading to an 1SS 1LE if it gets me the car faster. |

That's exactly what I did. My dealer told me that the 2SS 1LE could take longer to be completed and delivered. I opted for the 1ss 1LE instead. My only regret is not being able to get the rear-view mirror camara. I've had it a little over two weeks now. I've found that the blind spots are not that bad if your mirrors are adjusted properly, and you look over your shoulder before making a lane change. I also had the dealer install the Camaro sill plates when it was delivered. I can truly say I have no complaints in making that decision.

I have a 2017 2SS. Awesome car and love the extra features. I added the 1LE splitter and purchased a used set of 1LE wheels. My 2SS wheels are now my Winter set.
Car is still comfortable and handles amazingly for the daily commute and spirited drives. I don't track my car so not being a 1LE is not a problem. 1LE is an amazing car. |

I went 2SS for comfort since she will never see a track.
Loaded it up with every possible option except those hard Recaro Seats, colored seat belts and a sun roof. Loved the 2ss 1LE when it came out but it's just too cookie cutter now. Everyone has that same look. Trying to switch it up with my build. Can't wait till she's born this month. |

If you don't intend to track the car but creature comforts such as heated and cooled seats and safety features like blind spot monitoring are important, definitely take the standard 2SS with MRC.
When/if needed, you can always add the wide wheels and tires, Recaro seats plus even the big brakes from the 1LE, which takes you 75% of the way towards a 1LE. If you really-really want, you can even change the suspension, the one thing you can't retrofit is the electronic diff. The one disadvantage of this retrofitting approach (for a daily highway driver) is that you'll pay more for the 1LE bits if later installed on a standard 2SS, and of course your Camaro will still never be a true 1LE, which may impact resale value (and perception by 1LE snobs). Trying to go the other way won't work, you simply can't retrofit the vast majority of 2SS bits into a 1SS 1LE.

2SS non-1LE is the no-brainer for people not intending to track.
