Any shops like Hennessey or LMR in Florida?

Are there any shops in Fla that do engine work on our ZL1s. Would like to pick up 100-200hp?

Redline has one of the most technically knowledgeable tuners around. Very comparable to Vengeance or LMR. All are a class above Hennessey in my opinion.

Don't restrict yourself to Florida on this project. Hennessey's price includes round-trip shipping and a 2-year warranty. In my case, Hennessey paid for two Denver/Houston round trips. All shops quote bhp.

You need to narrow down your expected hp range, because there's way too many builds in that hp range.

Are you willing to change everything including the short block?

you can pick up a 100 hp in your garage and save a bunch.. the extra 100 on top of that would be the kicker you would need the expertise in a cam installation. You would save probably 4K going this route.

$630.00 for headers Installs very easy (TSP or speed engineering will do) you do not need $2000 headers(ARH) (shops want to you to pay 2k because the markup is more on 2k vs 700 headers it isn't like the 80s and 90 where cheap metal, cheap flanges, and poor jigs were used.
$90.00 Install NGk 6510 plugs
$220.00 2.3 pulley and its adapter
$70.00 Install an upper blower 2.3 pulley really easy with the toolhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/115266970211
$35.00 Install new belt (shorter)
$495.00 Install rotorfab CAI

should be right at 100 hp

You can live dangerously pull the front fascia off and install a larger reservoir which will aid with IAts from spinning the blower harder. should be a kit from LPE that mount to the front crash support and has all the necessary hoses and hardware. I think CORD's has the same or similar design.

another 100 hp on top of this will require a cam swap. however you could pull the blower off very easy plenty of videos on this and have it ported and they can do the pulley swap for you at the same time the next list will come close to another 100.

$650.00 LPE crash support tank or cords performance
$1944.00 stage x w pulley
$999- $400 DSX aux pump or pump voltage booster
$300 DSX flex kit
$600 103mm TB

this should get ya close to the 100 with out doing the cam swap and all can done by yourself now I saved you another 3k in shop labor.

Just drive slowly to the shop and have West palm beach tune it or redline. Personally I think WPB would be easier to deal with than Harold (AKA Redlines tuner)

They will tune it to run on 93 and mixture of 93 and E85 maybe E40 max you will probably need a gauges to keep the E content monitored.

If you do not want to mess with E85 this would be a nice setup. I think this is a go to for people that do not want to go inside the motor.

Kong Xport and 2.175 pulley
The extra capacity LPE/Cords Tank
The Plugs
The 103mm Tb
The headers
The low side fuel pump upgrade
The roto fab

Why do people give Hennessey money with their horrible (and *very* public) track record? I just don’t get it. It really doesn’t matter how good they are at modifying cars, I’d never let them touch my car. Just Google search Hennessey on the SRT8 forums or see the article on them by Autoweek, or just do a general Google on the company.

Perceived long term value and scarcity of their modified cars? Not sure either. Go see Ron at Vengeance Racing would be my personal recommendation to the OP, they are great guys and do awesome work. My other recommendations are up in Detroit but that's a bit too far.

This was honestly news to me until I got here on this forum. I actually got a quote from them for an HPE850 build before my car was delivered but I'm on the fence on a route to go and if I want to void warranty just yet.

Hennessey was reportedly caught selling the engine and other parts of out of state customers Vipers with first hand owner accounts of walking into the shop to find their cars parted out https://www.autoweek.com/news/a21075...eads-problems/ John Hennessey actually went on the SRT8 forums and went on a very profane and abusive rant, etc. I mean this company has red flags everywhere you look. I can’t understand how he is possibly still in business after this being public knowledge for 20 years.

Seeesh, that was a tough read, especially at the end; par for the course? Wow. I'm a business owner myself but in my opinion, that's no way to comment, if cited correctly.

Who else builds a comparable range of ultra-high-performance cars and trucks, and now, EVs? HPE built 550 cars in 2019. No one else does that volume that I know of.

They would get a 10/10 rating on the work they did for me; except they won't tell you anything about the parts they used for your build, no cam manuf. or specs, for example.

HPE has gotten plenty of hate on this site, 100% of which is from people who have zero first-hand experience with them.

Anyway, the thread is about good tuners of which HPE is one, but they won't just "tune" your car w/o them having modified it.

Another vote for Vengeance Racing. Their customer service is first class.

Hennessey gets this hate because they have a very well known history and their owner has gone on fantastic rants on public forums. He’s a complete and total jerk (that’s putting it very lightly). So don’t blame us, blame John. He’s his own worst enemy.

He could make the greatest product in the world, I’d never give that man a penny.

I don't care about John Hennessey [but I would like to own one of his Venom F5]. The mechanics in his shop did all the work that mattered to me. The work my car's undergoing now is built on the work HPE did for me.
