you dont think that they might be just trying to mask their true agenda,i.e.,electric cars.believing most anything a politician says is like believing in the easter bunny.only reason biden even cares about oil prices is inflation of all products is going to be a game changer in the 2022 elections.

Your "help" wasn't needed. Whether there is any connection or not, at least one other equally offensive post (by the same person) has been deleted since my first post. I do take your point about the 24/7/weekend aspect of policing this type of nonsense. Conspiracy theorist's don't work bankers hours.

Add in a couple of trillion increase in the money supply and you get inflation. Again very basic, very predictable.

This will make you happy, or not, energy prices are very forward looking, tons of futures trading/betting/hedging. If the regulatory/political environment signals friendliness towards energy producers you’ll see an immediate drop in prices, and the reverse.
Bingo!

Weird…… gas price thread turning to a political debate….

I personally just accept the responsibility because I bought a v8…..

Up to $5.15 a gallon here in WA at Costco close seen $5.89 at other places

I thought getting vaccinated was going to keep gas prices down…..

They are drilling and pumping all the oil they can in North Dakota. Now I wish the State would build a State owned refinery and skip the middleman. We have a State owned bank, so why not a refinery

Yeah there are permits available, but by a very strange coincidence they’re permits to drill where nobody wants to, rather than permits to drill where there’s actually something worth drilling for.

As I said earlier, if the problem isn’t supply, why is the current administration releasing fuel from the emergency reserve and begging anyone but domestic producers to pump more.

Lol! Talk about willful blindness.
The purpose of that pipeline was to make the process more efficient. The consequence is that now it’s getting moved via other pipelines and trucks.

I’ve already explained why they don’t want to drill, The major reason being they are making billions right now.

You keep going to back supply, yes I get it. It’s also demand, kids are out for school, we just recently drove about 1000 miles the last few days. Economy is hot, people are spending money.

Well, it isn't like kids weren't doing the exact same thing in 2018-2019 when gas prices were ~60% of what they currently are, even considering seasonal variance. People appear to be spending more money because the "money supply" increased drastically, not simply because the economy is hot.

This is obviously a more complex problem than "x did that" or "there is a war", but cause and effect can't be ignored.

money supply is up because the government printed more and we are on longer on the gold standard.pretty soon we can use it for toilet paper when the supply of that runs out...this country runs on diesel fuel and right now the cost of diesel is ridiculous.there is no conspiracy here, just a few wealthy people making bad decisions and not caring about others that are not wealthy.

Actually quite a few people are trying very, very hard to ignore it now.

Maya Angelou said it very well. "When people show you who they are...believe them."

There are groups of people who are very hostile to the fossil fuel industry. When those people have the power to influence fossil fuel prices they exercise that power and prices go up. Why twist yourself into a logical pretzel to pretend otherwise? If you're a believer in man caused global warming you should support this.

There are groups of people who are very supportive of the fossil fuel industry. When those people have the power to influence fossil fuel prices they exercise that power and prices go down. Again why twist yourself into a logical pretzel to pretend otherwise. If you think man caused global warming doesn't exist you should support this.

At the very least stop lying and trying to pretend that the green agenda isn't the primary driver of what we're experiencing. On the other hand be open about your disbelief in man caused global warming and your willingness to burn tons of fuel simply because you find it fun.

Fuel prices are high and they're going to get higher. That is a CHOICE that some people are making. It's entirely preventable. Sign a few pieces of paper and by the fall premium will be under $3 a gallon. Keep going the way we are and it will be over $6.

That simple.
