zl1 elsd drag racing performance calibration

Chevrolet advertises this on their performance page and it says :

Continuous drag strip development combined with the pursuit of perfection have pushed our Camaro engineers to develop an eLSD calibration that enables more consistent burnout performance for improved drag strip launches. This exclusive calibration doubles the differential coupling torque during burnout and drag launch scenarios by increasing the pressure applied to the clutch pack in order to prevent relative slip between the clutch plates. As a result, burnouts warm both tires evenly which is essential for a straight launch. Dealer install only. Will not void the New Vehicle Limited Warranty.

Note: This calibration is for drag racing purposes only. The eLSD Drag Performance Calibration will only be enabled when the vehicle is in Traction Control System Off. Driving vehicle on public roads with traction control system and electronic stability control system disabled is dangerous and not recommended for any operator.

has anyone done this calibration?

Basically it's isn't worth the money. Use your money for a real performance upgrade.

For Zl1-1LE owners who see this, this is not available for our cars. I took my 2020 to the dealership and they said it wouldnt work with my VIN.

It was said the dealer charges $350 to install either tune, the autox one or the drag one. IMO it should already come loaded in the car.

I called three dealers in metro Denver about this, none knew anything about it and never called me back. My car wants to rotate counter clockwise during a burnout and this update would likely help, but it's not to be

Has to be a chevy performace specific dealer. Theres a link in that new doc up there you can click on and it will locate one for you. The closest one to me is like an hours drive.

What have you heard of the Auto X calibration? I autocross every month so I am actually really interested.

It makes you able to enter and exit corners faster. So your lap times are better.

I did it when it first came out but didn’t notice anything different. Part of the reason could be that it requires stability and traction control to be off and I always leave stability control on. My logic is that it the car breaks lose enough for it to kick in, the pass is already shot so might as well have a little extra safety.

All my passes have been with all nannies off. The car needs little if any rear bias for what I'm doing these days.

Definitely doesn’t hurt but it’s a huge misconception that it’s required for this platform. I’ve done 1.20 60’s with it on.
