An order # doesn't necessarily mean it's been accepted. When my order was entered it was just a stored configuration in the dealers system, but I still had an order #. Your dealer can tell you, but event code 1100 is preliminary order accepted (dealer accepted your order) & 2000 is order accepted by GM.

Ya i didn't think it was to special of a number. It has only been 2 weeks since i placed my order. I’ll just leave it be for another few weeks they aren’t even goin to be rolling off the assembly line til the june 6th. The dealer said they would keep me informed but im not holding my breathe on that. Thanks for info.

It's not at 2000 status. It's at 1100 status, preliminary order. The last update to status was 4/21/22

I was able to get chevy chat to work. My browser didn't let it pop up (duckduckgo). So i used safari instead and the bot said my order has been accepted by chevy. So moving in the right direction. Mine is not a high optioned build just Lt1 6spd dual mode exhaust rs pack tech pack.

Well that pisses me off that Chevy chat just lies. I asked point blank three different times and they say ya 2000 and contact your salesman for further questions. I am thinking of placing an order with you or anyone else in TX. The drawback is I sold my Jeep through Huffines and I want my tax credit. I might have to kiss that good bye.

Stupid question

I ordered a 2023 1SS 7 days ago, and like an idiot didn’t realize the dual mode exhaust I wanted wasn’t on the order, yes I realize I’m an idiot. Is it too late to add it? I text the dealer but haven’t heard anything back yet.

Hey Nadine, to the forums.

It depends on the order status, if it hasn't yet been accepted by production control, you should still be able to change it. Call your dealer now.

GM Allocation System Sucks

Ordered a '22 2SS convertible at my local dealer on August 3, 2021.
Mid-March, order moved to 2030.
End of March, back to 1100.
Nothing since, dealer has not been able to get an allocation, explanation on the order movement, or a guess on an allocation timeframe.

Dealer's sister dealership gets an allocation and they work it out to order my car. As of today it is a '22 at 3400 with a TPW of 5/16 (this week!).

Mid April, the dealer was ready to throw in the towel and refund my deposit. I started looking around online and was told by several dealers I needed to go to the largest volume dealer in my state to get an allocation to order my car. That would be 2 hours away, if Chevrolet wants to support their dealer network and have people have their vehicles serviced at the local dealer, they need to fix the allocation system. To go to the high volume dealer, I literally would drive by at least 6 other Chevrolet dealers, that i know of. If a customer has cash in hand, Chevrolet should build the car, regardless of where it's ordered!

Good luck, hope you'll still be able to option NPP (dual mode exhaust) in, I certainly love it in on my car and wouldn't want to give it up.

Even if you find out it's too late, however, it's not the end of the world, Borla, Corsa, AWE and others offer amazingly good sounding dual and quad tip exhausts for a non-NPP setup if you're willing to consider the aftermarket, or you might even want to cancel the order and submit another one. In other words, you have plenty of options either way.
