Unless you want max effort acceleration, go pray, worth the wait So many go GPI because they lose patience.. I think that’s a mistake

I think the question is really reliability. The VVT lifters are at the heart of the reliability question. I don't think the lifters were designed for racing. High performance runs, yes, but sustained wide open throttle can cause reliability issues.
I personally debated the question and I'm building a whole new engine.

I have two cams that i am trying to sell that are brand new in the boxes and both are great for stock stall in the A10. Got them both and decided to go with a bigger cam and actually get a converter in my A10. VVT2 from TSP and the SS1 from GPI. Shoot me a message

We used to maintain VVT in almost every scenario, but we found that the VVT became uncontrollable with certain cam lobe / valve spring combinations. It was more hassle than it was worth.
You can gain power everywhere in the curve without VVT, with the right combination. |
