Do you know if it was trucked all the way from Lansing? Someone mentioned that they can’t ship ZLE’s by rail.

Hi,

Yes it was trucked from Lansing. GM uses Jack Cooper Trucking to transport the Corvettes and ZL1’s. The trailer load of ZLE’s my car was on was further delayed when the semi broke down somewhere in Nevada. They had to send a replacement semi to finish the delivery. Bad enough all the delays with parts for assembly at the factory.

I’m just glad it’s finally there now so I can get it!

JJ

What was your TPW if I may ask? I should have my car built next week and I’m just trying to play mental gymnastics on when I’m actually going to have it delivered here in Texas. Mine is a ZLE as well so it will be transported by JCT. Thanks

My understanding is they route delivery by geographical area. If you’re in Texas I doubt yours would be on that trailer. Doesn’t seem logical?!? But I’m not sure!!

My car showed “5000” (Delivered) a week before it arrived. I’m sure so the shipper could bill GM .

It’s a very far less than perfect system.

I know I keep coming in here to rant, but honestly I'm getting so frustrated with GM. I ordered on March 1. Contacted them again today and they again said i'm still at status 1100. They can't give me any other information or details. This is insane, given that I'm trying to spend $70,000 on one of their cars. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting any sort of real answers or getting them to actually move my order forward?

All due respect? Just throwing money at them does not entitle your car to move any faster than anyone else's. Please refer to the multitude of people waiting for 6+ months without result... You're barely a month and a half in.

No, that's not what I'm trying to say. I'm saying that it's ridiculous that GM would treat any customer like this when that customer is trying to spend this kind of money on one of their products. This has nothing to do with anyone else's orders...

How hard is it for them to convey accurate information to their customers? I just want an answer as to why my particular order is held up while others' were accepted. Why are some people getting cars in 8-12 weeks, and others are waiting 6mo to a year? It makes no sense. They should be taking orders and fulfilling them in the order they were submitted, no?

My apologies then for misunderstanding.

Yes, their ordering system needs improvement for sure.

No worries at all - just trying to figure out how exactly the ordering works, and why no one at GM seems to be able to convey any accurate information. I see people submitting their 2023 orders already, and I'm sitting here with a 10 week old 22 order that still hasn't been accepted. It's frustrating and makes it very difficult to know how to proceed

I would say to go ahead and resubmit a 2023 order. Your 2022 order will not automatically get converted and they are not going to be accepting many (if any) more 2022 orders. They are just trying to finish building the 2022 orders already accepted, then move on to building 2023's starting in June. I have had a 2022 order since December of 2021 and just resubmitted my order for a 2023, so I feel your pain.
