Just tonight, I went to fill up on E85.

I was sitting at a traffic light waiting to make a left turn. Guy making a right turn in an SUV pulls up next to my car and says "Nice car!" Stopping in the middle of traffic lol

This happened a couple weeks ago. I was in my MR2, but it very well could have happened in the Camaro. I’m in a big freakin’ hurry because I was gonna be late for a meeting I was running. I needed a specific cable to run the projector from my Microsoft Surface. I park and start to sprint towards the computer store. Guy goes “Hey mister…” I go “sorry in a hurry” and keep it moving.

So I get my cable and get in the checkout and I see the same guy and his girlfriend getting in the checkout line. I said “hey man, sorry for blowing you off in the parking lot”. He says “no big deal. I was just gonna tell you I thought you’re car was cool. You didn’t have to be such a dick”.

I also would have felt kind of awkward in that situation, but honestly he could have accepted the fact that you apologized to him when you could have just ignored him...instead he chose to be even more of a dick. Screw 'em!

C&C got "Nice car. You have a great taste". Well that was unexpected.

Worst part is my car was #settle from a lot. But mostly color, which I must say both of my choices I would regret now (vivid orange looks like my friend's equinox, and rapid blue is all over the place now).

LOL! I'm yet to see another Rapid Blue Camaro in person. However there are at least 2 Riverside Blue 1LEs in my area plus a few more non 1LE Camaros.

There is one Rapid blue ZL1 across the street my office (so I see it every day), and seen like 3-4 on Cars and Coffee

Our Camaro Club did a quick hang out on Woodward (yes, THAT Woodward) last night. Our events director drives a Rapid Blue 1LE and one of our members has a Rapid Blue ZL1. Both have popular YT channels. While we were hanging I saw an RB SS, another RB ZL1 and a virtual crap ton of RB LT1.

The picture is “post hang” when a few of us stopped for ice cream. The 1LE is the event director’s car.

Few weeks back i'm sitting at a light and a ~10 year old Elantra with a young man in it next to me motions for me to roll down my window. I oblige, smile at him, and he proceeds to tell me "You know, its cars like yours that are killing our planet. Its Republicans like you that are contributing to the decline of our atmosphere."

The guy wasn't so much a dick about it as he was just stating his opinion. I told him that he couldn't be further from the truth regarding the political affiliation comment and that this is only my weekend toy. I told him that I could remove my cats (legal in my county) to make it even worse but then I came to my senses and thought to myself, wtf am I even discussing this with this moron at a stop light?

It was just odd, generally though I receive thumbs up or compliments, not that I'm contributing to the fall of civilization.

Yesterday I pulled into the Kwik Trip to get some food stuffs and as I was getting out of my car the cop parked next to me says "Nice ride." That to me is cool cop. I then politely thanked him for his service.

lol, the irony of him with his 10 year old car which probably does more polluting just because of the fact that it's older and most likely not running as efficient.

Well, the inevitable happened. Decided to take the car into work again (Sunny Fridays are a good excuse, right?) and sure enough, a guy comes up to me while I'm working with another guy and asks "can I ask you a question?" I was expecting a job related question, but he was like, "Is that your Camaro?". I sheepishly acknowledged as I knew what came next. Got a little "schoolgirl gushing" out of him. To add to this, after this encounter another guy started messaging me on Teams. His message was, "Everyone is drooling about your car". Apparently the guy that I talked to started telling everyone else that it was my car. I guess I'll have to drive the Leaf for the next few months to make them forget.

Exactly. My 2011 Ford Fusion 3.0 V6 if left running in garage was stinky AF in comparison to my 6.4 V8 in Charger... Both factory cats, but difference huuuuge.

Looks like the guy with the white one has a bit of damage on the front fender? Nice group of cars though!
