I taught my wife how to drive a stck in my 68 Chevelle. Muncy M11 close ratio and a 69 corvette mtr. 350 hp.

She got the salesman to let her drive a 15 Mustang GT to a job site I was at. 15 plus miles each way.

I tested a SS 1LE and sold the Mustang.
I drove 400 plus miles home with a 21 2SS 1LE. She drove it halfway home. The last leg of the trip haha.
30 plus years married. I picked a keeper.

She also got me a Benelli M1 super 90.

When my wife sat in the driver's seat I asked her do you feel comfortable? Can you see out of all the mirrors and how is your view though the windshield over the hood. She actually surprise me with her answer that her visibility was perfect. Out on the highway she told me how great the steering was and how fantastic that this car can take turns compared to her chevy trax, she said to me wow I can take this turn without using the brakes. And since we where out on the highway I told my wife check your speed and her response, I can't believe I'm going that fast driving this car at that speed was really comfortable. We will be going out again this weekend I think my wife enjoys it.

My wife shows no interest in driving my car and I'm perfectly ok with that. One commenter said his wife took his Camaro to get groceries, that's grounds for divorce in my house !! There's a 100% guarantee that's coming home with a door ding.

Everytime my wife is with me in the camaro she basically knows the ground rules of where and how i park the camaro in the parking lot. She does realize if she finally does drive it she told me that she will park the baby in a safe spot.

My better-half had never driven a car like the sixth gen before, but had the same sort of smile as in the original post when I convinced her to give it a go. That was in a '16 1LT, and she likes the '21 3LT even better on account of the blind spot monitors and video rear-view mirror.

On the other hand, she will not try driving my 460ci '74 Ranchero, despite the automatic transmission and fingertip-light power steering. Probably a good thing, because I know she would probably get hooked on making that V8 exhaust roar so much that we wouldn't be able to pass up stopping at every gas station!

Wife drove the SS several times. Tried to get her to drive it the first day but she declined. Took it and the IROC to a show (she drove the SS). Registered at the show in her name. She took it home afterwards. Heard her gun it down the street after someone gave her a thumbs up lol.

Years ago in my 5th gen SS we were coming home from somewhere and my wife wanted to stop at Wallyworld for something. I told her no way in hell is this car getting parked in a Wallyworld lot, I'll let you out up front and circle around. I then proceeded to pull up front and promptly curbed the right front wheel.
Best part was after that, I convinced her I needed new aftermarket wheels.

A few days back, I was talking to my neighbor at our fence line when my wife took the 'vert out to run some errands. As she pulled out of the drive and started down the street, the V6 letting out a mild Braaap!, my neighbor stopped mid-sentence with: "Well, she's a bit of a lead foot."

Unfortunately, I'm unable to take pictures of a grin when she drives: She's too serious and I'm too busy hanging on. (Maybe this is why I was only shopping LTs and not SSs: for my own wellbeing...)

Gold. Sounds like something I would do. Have also learned very simply these car are not for big parking lots especially not Wally World… LOL no such thing as a safe spot..

My wife is the same way. Plus she can't drive a manual so my car is probably safe from her ever driving it.
